SIA Licence to be awarded , still waiting after 1 year !!!!!

My son completed a SIA Licence course last Jan and is still waiting for the licence to be awarded !!!!! This course cost over £500 pounds and he passed , completed the application and paid the fee for the badge. He has called and called to be told by Gov.uk its still being processed !!!!!  seriously what can we do ??? Has anyone got any advise as its feels like we have wasted alot of money for nothing.

Contact his MP.  The majority of government departments are in need of a kick up the backside at the moment.
