Payment problems Error Pets at Home?

I am trying to order from Pets At Home Website and before i even get to enter my card details i get the following Error: Punch out Error 

There appears to have been a problem during the payment process,
we apologise for the inconvenience.

This could be due to the payment method used for this transaction.

Please click on the button below and try again with an alternative payment method.

If you are using our "Saved card" payment method please try again by selecting the "Debit / Credit Card" or "Paypal" options available.

I have contacted them and was told the usual use our app instead, clear the cache or use a different browser none of which has worked. 

I want to order online so i can go through a cashback site as orders through the app are not eligible for cashback.

Any ideas?

    Sounds like their payment processer has a issue.

    I tried Chrome and when that failed Edge but the same error comes up, the web chat agent at the store had no solution apart from download our app or try using incognito web page.

    Have you tried as they suggested and changed payment method? Does PayPal go through?

    Yes thanks, I have tried clicking PayPal as payment method and it takes me to the PayPal Login page.
    I have now used this method to pay instead so although it does not explain the fault it has given me a solution.

    Tried to update the payment card for a regular subscription but all it would do was to continuously look as though it were loading. Found this thread after about half a dozen failed attempts, tried to update to PayPal and that worked straight away. Very poor if they haven’t even tried to fix the issue in six months and just rely on these workarounds.

    UPDATE - I eventually ended up with a failed payment email following my PayPal change. Contacted them and got the use the app, clear history suggestions. The app worked, so it may be that those who don't use smartphones will have a problem. I said this to them but they didn't even acknowledge it, so it doesn't seem that they have any interest in addressing the underlying issue.
