    Not really but at the same time kind of haha.
    It goes off how many dependents you have. If there's 2 of you it's split between you but now it'll come down to just you if that makes sense.

    Differently to who?  Your circumstances will be looked at exactly the same as anyone else, income, dependants etc.

    No, that would be illegal.
    But that being said, you will see a difference. 

    If you have 2 people working with 1 dependent, that is 2 incomes for 3 people. 
    As a single mum you might only have one income and 1 dependent, which is then 1 income for 2 people. Your bills will not be much lower but your income will be a fair bit lower. You may receive benefits or maintenance to balance it out a little but benefit income is a little more complex, some lenders take some of it, some will take all of it, most will fall somewhere in the middle.
