Debenhams Bargins - clothes £1 & on BOGOF

Went to my local Debenhams department store today, looking around and found a clearence rail, sign on rail said 70% off but looked at the items on rail and all items on rail where marked £1. Went to the till and the girl said that the clearnce items are also on a buy one get one free. I quized her and she seemed to think that this is nationwide as they go through the till at £1 and go through on buy one get one free, she also said that it was cheap as it was last years stock. And that the items have only just been reduced on Thursday

I went into the Manchester branch last night and the Trafford Centre but couldnt see any clearance rails anywhere ??
