Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, not raining at the moment - forecast is cold and bright, we'll see.
Dinner last was chicken pasta - very nice it was too.
Half day at work, but going with elderly relative to hospital appointment, relative now very awkward and gets nasty, so not particularly looking forward to that. Dinner is likely to be late.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks. Crikey when I first looked out early doors I couldn't decide if I was looking at snow or a thick frost. Now it's a bit lighter I think it's frost and SO cold and the highest we can expect is 1 deg this afternoon.
In my wisdom I booked an Oc*do slot for 7 - 8 and he was here dead on 7 am! I was a bit bleary eyed putting the shopping away but it's all away now, with nothing oos or subbed. And I am now relaxing with another coffee.
My lunch out yesterday didn't happen!! I got a text re another ailment which I shall say no more about! As I was half ready for going out anyway I thought I may as well go out to get the extra tags I needed, as well as a few more bits I wanted.. I was down and back within the hour and carried on with tagging. All post-its had remained intact. Everything is now upstairs ready and waiting for the big day.
My intention for today is to clean the windows indoors which have been patiently waiting since the beginning of last week!! DD has finally got the appointment with the musculo-skeletal clinic for the end of next week. She is still waiting for the MRI scan but did see the physio yesterday and he thinks it's something pressing on a nerve rather than trapped. She is absolutely fed up now and the pain is hardly touched by all the painkillers she has been prescribed.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and poorly loved ones. NAN get well soon. Take care all take care xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -

Hi everyone,
It's quiet here again, Laura has taken Esben to school nursery and then Esther on to a settling session at Esben's old nursery, she'll be starting two days a week after Christmas so we'll have a bit more free time (although we'll be looking after Nate one day a week from then so maybe not).
We got Steve's Christmas present yesterday so that's sorted. I also went to JL and looked at car seats because we want to get one for Esther and Nate, we need it for the end of December because Laura and Brian are driving up to Glasgow for Christmas, stopping on the way but Laura is going to fly back with the children and Brian will drive back in one day but of course he will have Esther's seat in the car.
Laura is going to London for a lunch, I don't know what for, probably the launch of some new whisky, rum or gin and we have promised Esben we will go and buy the Christmas tree after we pick him up from nursery. We are going to put it in the dining room this year because there really isn't room in the living room now and with Esther being the age she is it would be in jeopardy a lot of the time.
Have a good day and stay warm.8 -
Good Morning chums ,very nippy and cold here in north kent, definitely not a day for venturing out.I have my stair lift chap coming to service the stair lift today anyway and the time spot is between 9.00am -5.00pm so its definitely feet up and knit some more Barbie clothes for my GGD's today.
My grandson Ben who teaches in north London just emailed me to ask about non religious songs for his kids Christmas concert. He is in charge of organising it this year, he has 20 muslim children in his year 5 class, so its got to be non religious songs for the children to sing
He doesn't want any child to feel left out bless him, and has no wish to offend their parents. So I have been surfing the net looking for him.
I've just got a couple of cards to send off to overseas relatives as UK ones I use the cash to send to the Sally Army charity to help with their Christmas appeal.
Although the sun is shining her its extremely cold so my heating is on along with a thick cardi as well
Onwards and upwards chums keep warm if you can

Morning all, I have been up a while as couldn't sleep because of these palpitations again so I rang the surgery and I'm awaiting a call back when the GP has decided what to do. Things went smoothly even though I was 10th in the queue at 8.32, two mins after the phone lines opened🙁
Yesterday at tea with the DGC they ate everything put in front of them and DGS even had seconds, I really don't know where they put it all and yet they're both tall, thin and sporty........ obviously don't follow me then ! DGD is always reminding me that she is waaay taller than me now 🤣 and DGS is still playing rugby plus now he's going skiing. He has a school skiing trip to Italy in Feb so he's practising on the dry ski slope that we have nearby.
Today I shall hover over the phone waiting for my call and not a lot will get done until it's over. Tea tonight will be something and chips, the freezers are full again so there's plenty of choice. I was hoping to get some xmas treats in there but no chance again 🙄.
TA hope your DD gets an answer about her back and she can be pain free asap.
Rosy good luck to your DGD in her tournament.
RedRuby belated birthday wishes for your DD.
Gers hope your appointment goes well.
Sorry if I have forgotten anyone my mind is racing. Take care all.

Morning...I think I'm just eating all the time because my subconscious is in holiday mode, even OH is mentioning takeaways a lot
Blind people are coming to tighten the shutter that isn't holding it's position properly when you angle it up or down. The other four are fine. A friend is coming round for a socila visit so I need to pop out to get some teabags [and probably a treat or two] .
Take care today all. it's a brr one..Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10 -
Morning everyone freezing here but bright TA I do hope your DD gets sorted soon it’s awful been in so much pain and not able to do anything about it. Just finished a cleaning job I’m having a quick cuppa off to work soon I’ve never seen the bosses wife I think she’s falling out with me because I’m leaving to be honest I hope I never have to see her again the other girl said she came in on Monday morning and couldn’t believe she had the little oil filled radiator on as it was so warm outside the girl was working in her coat and gloves and this little radiator heats a two storey huge building so she just said well you can turn it off if you want but I will be going home that was it doors were slammed and she’s never been seen since anyway I’m not going to dwell on her . I’m out tonight can’t believe it I’m going to a light trail at a castle a few mile from us and it has the longest light tunnel in the country it has brilliant reviews it says to give yourselves a hour and a half to walk round it the hubby isn’t going he couldn’t walk for that long so it’s just some of my family and the grandchildren it will be cold but dry and I’m really looking forward to it. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

My physio appointment was good, he's given me two new and more difficult exercises to add in to my list. They work the glutes more which is what is needed. My right (new'ish) hip is still the weak one.On the way home I picked up a couple of posting bags to send off parcels to Germany. I'll pack them up today as I'm off to Glasgow early doors tomorrow. This morning the temperature went down to -5 and has now risen to +1
I've lit the woodburner and brought more wood in. I'm trying to use up all the wood from 2018 even though it's all odd shapes from being hand cut by axe. Now the chap up the hill has a proper log cutting machine which cuts to whatever length needed. I've got loads of 2018 and 2019 wood to use up, if I can fit it all in the box.
Right, off to look out the bubble wrap.10
