How much are your monthly outgoings?

Hello all, I'm looking to move into a new build and will have 20% morgage to pay. I've done a budget planner to see how much I'd spend per month and therefore what's left over to pump into paying off the mortgage. I am curious as to how much others spend monthly on average, I appreciate it will vary WILDLY from family to family but if I've estimated 2,000 per month and if everyone else has 4,000+ then there is a possibility I've under estimated. Any contributers? I'll start: Thank you.
4 bed, new build, family of 3: £1,000 pm mortgage plus additional £2,000 per month on everything else, so total £3,000 per month.

The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.

How long is a piece of string? We have no idea what "everything else" includes and excludes. We are a family of 4 and have spent IRO £3,700/mth since June. Our mortgage was £800 but will be £1200 as of December.0

Thanks. Indeed, how long is a piece of string! There are numerous variables, income being probably the biggest determinant! Thanks for your reply.edinburgher said:How long is a piece of string?
