CCA Requests Dragging On

I'd be grateful for any advice/insight on the following.

I'm 61 and have £29K of CC and overdraft debt. I'm employed but my MH is poor and after a financial review with PayPlan in the summer I decided to address the debt by making F&F offers (more details in the F&F thread). This is such a slow process!!

I was advised by the kind experts on here to make CCA requests and did so at the end of July. Five months on there are 4 creditors (out of 6!) who have yet to supply these:

Ikano Bank (IKEA) - have sent me standard letters threatening to register a default. No acknowledgement of the CCA request and the account was already defaulted. It doesn't feel as if anyone has looked at this.

Santander CC - No response from Santander on the CCA but I had a letter last month advising that this was being sent to Moorcroft for management. Moorcroft are also dealing with the Santander Overdraft on which I made a F&F. They have been in touch for further background information on the F&F (which I'm happy to supply) but also asked what was happening with the CC. I told them that I was awaiting a CCA copy and they asked me to email them asking them to chase Santander up!?!? I have no intention of doing this but would appreciate any view / explanation of what is happening.

PRA (ex-Barclaycard) sent me CC bills in October. I responded that this was not the agreement and they said they had the agreement and would send it within 30 days. Time's up and it hasn't arrived. I'll wait.

New Day - Responded 11 August saying they couldn't find the CCA. Called a fortnight ago and I told them I was concentrating on enforceable debts. "Oh, we have the CCA. Didn't we send it? We'll send it straight over". Again, I'm waiting.

So what is happening and what do I do? It's now 5 months since the original requests - what's the liklihood of them turning up? (I'm assuming fairly high as apart from the Santander one they're not from that long ago). What's going on with Moorcroft? Are PRA and NewDay just bluffing? Do I just sit tight?

At present sit tight and work on your budget. Make sure you've included monthly allowances for annual costs and a proper emergency fund for replacement of big ticket items. Stash them in interest bearing accounts, at least 2 for the different types of budgeting.

Then stash what you budgetted towards the debts into a fighting fund to pay for full and finals later.

If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • dont be impatient.  you dont want them to find CCA, i had a debt owned by PRA i made the request 6 years ago and they never managed to supply it, so ive never paid them anything, its now statute barred and im £5000 better off.
