I had my solar panels hurriedly installed in March 2019, just before the end of the FIT scheme. Recently I looked back at the paperwork: MCS certificate, yes, DNO confirmation No.  What I do have is a copy of a form G83/2 SSEG INSTALLATION COMMISSIONING CONFIRMATION.  This tells the DNO that my installation complies with the requirements of G83/2 and my system has equipment "type tested" for 3.68 kW; all part of some sort of self-certification process it seems.  Is this sufficient?

I've only got a G83 (2017 installation). I think that's all that was required under the old FIT scheme. I'll find out soon enough as I'm in the process of switching from FIT exports to Outgoing Octopus.Reed_Richards said:I had my solar panels hurriedly installed in March 2019, just before the end of the FIT scheme. That's exactly what I thought I might want to do at some point in the future. Please let us know how you get on.Reed0

I had my system installed back in 2010 and the installers didn't notify the DNO so I had to retrospectively complete a G98 Form B whereupon they sent me a letter informing me that I could connect my micro-generation unit to their distribution system.Reed_Richards said:I had my solar panels hurriedly installed in March 2019, just before the end of the FIT scheme. The letter was accepted by Octopus to enable me to switch from deemed to negotiated export.2
