Hi,
I wonder if you can help or hopefully point me in the right direction?
I had serious money problems a few years ago which I buried my head with for quite a while. It left me with ccj's, I realised I needed to face the problem head on and with the sale of my house I managed to have some ccj's removed from my file. In the end I had 2 left which couldn't be removed but was settled and will be active on my file until 2027.
I've recently moved in with my girlfriend and we are planning a new life together with hopefully a new home. My girlfriend's house is up for sale but my worry is that with the current state of my credit file we will struggle to buy a new house.
Is there any advice you can offer regarding this situation?
Do you know if it's possible to get an mortgage in this position?, if so could you please point me in the right direction.
Thank you so much in advance for your help

Yes it is. Any decent mortgage broker should be able to produce options for you.I am a mortgage broker. Assuming a reasonable deposit (maybe 10-15% plus), I think you should have options. The rates might be a little above normal but hopefully nothing to bad. At a 30% deposit I would like to think very near normal rates.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
