Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, raining at the moment - forecast is for rain most of the day.
Lunch yesterday was roast lamb, it was beautiful, no LO's of meat but some yorkshires and veg, will make those into a meal.
Back to work this morning.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Not as cold this morning but still very chilly. It hardly got light yesterday, gloomy and damp all day.
The little one was an absolute star over the weekend, I had to buy her a new coat on Friday after I picked her up as the zip burst on hers when I picked her up from Nursery so she spent all weekend telling everyone! We met up with DS1 and the family in Stirling on Saturday and went swimming on the way home so she was exhausted when she went to bed and slept for 11 hours - result! I took her to her Granny's yesterday morning, her Mum and Dad picked her up around 6pm when they got back.
Housework done and I had an hour sat reading but had to get up and do something before I fell asleep.
Off to work today for a rest, there's a lot to do so hope there are no dramas today.
You're certainly committed WL, not sure I could be in the cold for that long!
Sounds like an expensive shop TA.
Love the calendar Izzy.
When do you go away bella?
Glad you had a good time Scarlet.
Hope today goes as well as it can Coxy and happy new job day.
Hope everyone is well and you have a good day, take care. XX10 -
Good morning, it's not as cold here, but damp.
Yesterday wasn't too bad, cold though.
We went to an outlet centre a few miles away, Dh bought a pair of lightweight trousers and I got a t shirt, I was hoping to pick up a few stocking fillers but no go.
Anyway, we're going into Newcastle today, will try and get what I want there. We're going in the car as the bus strike is still on, and the trains are at inconvenient times.
I've been slow with Christmas this year, must pull myself together.
Sounds like you had a lovely weekend with your Dgd Camelot.
Thinking of you today Coxy.
Hope everyone has a good day whatever you are doing, take care folks.

Morning folks. The forecast says we are having heavy rain, but we are not! Hope we have escaped it and it's not still on its way. I hope they are wrong too about the snow we have forecast for midweek!! Aaargh!
I got the tedious job of Xmas card writing done yesterday afternoon whoop whoop. Today I am planning to make a start on gift wrapping/bagging. I'll be glad when that job's done as well. Grinch or wot!
COXY happy new job day but sad you have the funeral as well. I hope it goes as well as it can. Happy holiday shopping and packing for those of you going away. Have a good day all and ((HUGS)) for all in need, thinking of the poorlies and poorly loved ones. Take care all and keep warm xx

That huge moon was so bright last night, I didn't need a light to see my way to the loo. Apparently it's a waxing Gibbous moon. The time with my friends was really lovely, we sat by the woodburner munching crisps, drinking gin and generally chewing the fat. Well worth the debris which I cleared up before bed. Unsurprisingly I slept well. 😀 Today will be spent faffing around and weekly banking.Coxy - I hope that the funeral goes smoothly.Camelot - it's so great when small children are so proud of stuff and tell everyone.Scarlet- good luck in parking in Newcastle! And happy shopping.9

Morning all; raining here now.
Had a great evening playing tunes in the pub last night, even though I had second thoughts about going when I saw how wet and dreary it was outside. Luckily I was giving someone a lift so couldn't pull out.
Today I have a free day, well, apart from the housework and bits and bobs. I might make some more granola; the last lot was very nice and lasted almost a week but need to get a few more ingredients as it uses quite a lot of nuts. The cake tin is also empty!
Stay warm and dry everyone.10 -
Morning everyone
It was pouring when I got up but it's brightening up now. I had a nice morning with my dad yesterday, he was on good form...made better because they'd had their winter fuel payments!
I had a lovely lazy afternoon, wrapped a few presents, read my Sunday Times and had a good chat with eldest DD in Germany.
Today I've some jobs to do before work and some phone calls to make for mam. Little one is still poorly so DD is going to keep her at home for a couple more days. Hopefully this week she'll hear when she can get the keys to their new house.
Camelot - it sounds like you had a lovely weekend with your little one
Coxy - I hope today goes well for you
Gers - I bought a bottle of pink gin for each of my girls yesterday, to go in their Christmas bags - from dolls to gin!
Izzy 0- 95 days! It's getting closer x
TA - I haven't started my cards yet and I haven't even got many to do. I cut back last year - the stamps are too expensive to send cards to people I'll probably never see.
Wicked lady - pleased you enjoyed your evening
For once I've managed to mention everyone - hope you all have a good day x10 -
Morning all
Late posting for me as both my people have cancelled today both poorly Rob will probably not be in tomorrow either as he has am upset tummy again.
So an unexpected day off for me which is nice, yesterday I wrapped my dd’s Birthday presents so this afternoon I may start on OH Birthday ones and then the Christmas ones I have bought a few gift bags this year which will make it a bit easier but I do like to watch people unwrapping so will mostly wrap them.
Dinner tonight will be cottage pie I will make it this morning so will then just pop it into the oven later, I have put a wash on this morning which can go on the airer.
Coxy hope all goes well today xxx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -

afternoon all. OH is still taking his days off so he was on the computer playing games when I woke up. One of my friends is having an op today so I may be visiting later on with goodies, I may not, depends how she feels. We're going out in a minute, he's taken it into his head to paint the greenhouse frame black, who am I to argue, it'll look very posh when done, so we're getting paint, I want some more wool, bought the wrong colour last week [ oh no!
] and some more stitch markers. I'm getting quicker at crochet now, I've stumbled on the technique so the wool doesn't keep slipping out of the hook and the tension is getting better. One day I might be good at it.
camelot, glad to see you had a good weekend. Coxy, break legs in your new job and ope the funeral goes as well as it can. TA, want to buy me some presents too ?j/k! I don't think dance gear is my forte. Gers, sounds like a lovely evening..Ruby, happy unexpected day off! Izzy, yeah, you've only got 95 left but January will take 60 of them so won't be long
Take care all, cook up a stew storm! And stay dry and warm!
