Waited long enough!
Still cloudy outside though the temperature is in plus figures, only just.

The darkness has gone though whether it's light now is debatable. I'm about to get out of bed to face the cold. Yesterday I eventually lit the woodburner to get warm and then roasted myself by it. 😀Yes, I enjoyed Dr Who last night, David Tennant just makes me smile. Well worth waiting for. Today my excitement is having two friends over for early evening gin and tonics.10

Morning everyone
Wow - I've never been second to post before! Sunny here but very cold. I'll be going down to sit with dad this morning while mam goes to church. Then I plan on having a lazy afternoon with my Sunday Times and perhaps some more present wrapping.
Hope everyone has a good day x10 -

Morning everyone cold but dry here today I hope it stays that way as we have a winter light parade today all the children and volunteers practice so hard for it and it’s always lovely and the other big news in the town is we have a calendar released today there’s a small local business that for a joke took his clothes off and stood in the shop behind some power tools that were placed so you couldn’t see anything all a bit of good clean fun well the idea took off and a calendar has been made and all money raised is going to twelve local charities I know all of the men on it in fact most of them have come to my house since been little as they were friends of my children or went to school with them I will definitely be going over and making a donation the whole town is behind them so let’s hope they raise a lot of money as well as a few smiles . Other than that I have got a small beef joint nearly cooked but I am thinking we we have it after the parade to warm us through I will do some veg and Yorkshire puddings later. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Another cold and frosty night for us. I fished my thermal vests out yesterday (thanks ROSY) and what a difference it makes. I haven't resorted to the thermal leggings yet.
I actually had a good sleep last night, after a string of sleepless nights. I wish every night was like that.
I made the promised trip into town yesterday morning to get eldest DGD's gift card and a couple more stocking fillers for the menfolk so just about sorted gift buying now. Although I have been known to start again buying more odd bits spotted when out and about! I may get cracking with the card writing this afternoon (I don't send anywhere near as many as I used to) and then potter along with the gift wrapping/bagging as and when I cba!
I got a smallish gammon joint out to defrost yesterday in readiness for cooking this morning but ended up cooking it for tea. So lunch today will be cold gammon and something yet to be decided on! Maybe cauli cheese.
GERS I gave the Dr a go last night and fell asleep, sorry! I used to enjoy it back in the early days but kind of lost interest around Sylvester McCoy time. My favourite Dr was always Patrick Troughton.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and poorly loved ones. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning all. Another overnight frost here and it's still cloudy here.
4pm yesterday was colder than 7pm Friday night and my fingers soon felt it! We managed an hour of dancing at the Christmas market event, which was very busy, but then packed up and came home.
Today I'm going to do very little and then have an early dinner as I'm giving a friend a lift to a pub music session about 6pm. I've never been a huge Dr Who fan but DH enjoys it and records it all to watch at his leisure.
Happy Sunday everyone.9 -
Morning all
Not quite as cold and frosty here this morning, yesterday was bitter, quite a shock after the mild weather we have been having. DD and I went into town and I bought myself a pair of winter boots which are all fur lined so should be nice and cosy.
Presents still not sorted or wrapped 😂😂 I must do it today as dd’s Birthday is Tuesday so need to get some wrapped for that, she went out last night and has ‘flu like’ symptoms this morning 😂😂
Dinner tonight will be roasted chicken legs with a mushroom risotto will save the roast for next week when mum comes.
I need to run the hoover round later and mop the floors before my guests come tomorrow.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -

Just popped in to say hi, I've survived the weekend and the little one is now at her Granny's until tea time when her Mummy and Daddy get home.
She's been absolutely no bother - it seems very quiet here now!
Catching up with housework this afternoon and then I'll see what you've all been up to.
Take care. XX7
