Missing Voluntary NI contributions

I paid voluntary NI ( on Martins Advice ) got through to
pensions advice & HMRC (for reference) within mins. After 10 weeks
contacted HMRC NI, answered after 59 mins. Lady said couldnt find my
payment after confirming all bank details and reference, she would pass on
to another department. 13 weeks still no update. Raised a complaint but '
due to increased demand your complaint may take longer to resolve' I contacted HMRC re my self assesment and said " I'm worried about paying my tax as youve lost my NI contribution" reply " the NI section are in a mess you must pay your tax there wont be a problem with that" So HMRC are happy to take your money but dont like to pay it out, is this a way to keep the treasury funds up? I'm
due my pension in December but the odds dont look good.

It might be worth contacting your MP. This totally unacceptable especially with your pension due to start.1
