NHS HCAS and moving work base

Hi all,

my partner's NHS trust have moved her work base in her contract, such that she does not get the fringe/inner/out HCAS or London weighting. She an AfC member of staff.

So basically she started a new job and the people before her in the same role were entitled to HCAS, but for my partner's contract, they made her work base outside of the area she gets HCAS, when she never ever goes to that work base in her contract.

This means the person she works with in her actual base she steps foot in gets the HCAS payment, but my partner does not.

She has spoken to the trade union rep who says this is legal and there is nothing she can do!

This sounds completely incorrect, does anyone know what she can do, as her colleagues too are being deprived of getting the HCAS, which works out to be atleast £120 a month.

what can she do about it/ how does she argue this, as it seems like bad advice from the union, and something my wife should be entitled to.

thanks,

you state h she nevers goes to her  named  place of work , in which case how does she work ?  could the job be done from anywhere (in the uk ) or does it mandate physicla attendance to locatiosn within the HCAS areas?

So the named place of work is a place where no one on that contract ever goes, instead, she and her colleagues go to work in another base in the HCAS area, and she rotates her base every 9 months.
She works in person, she goes to the physical site to deliver her health care as a mental health professional.

sounds like she and  other affected  staff need to be speaking to their union , assuming of course they  were memebers when this started to  impact people
