VAT on multiple holiday lets under mixed ownership.

I was wondering if anyone could help me understand the VAT position if someone owns two furnished holiday lets with their wife and one just in his own name. Do you need to calculate the combined revenue of all three properties against the VAT threshold or, as there is different ownership for one of the properties, is its revenue irrelevant to the other two and should be calculated separately when considering the VAT threshold. I'd be grateful to hear your opinions on this.

You should read https://www.classic.co.uk/holiday-lets/holiday-letting-blog/in-the-news/guide-to-vat-for-furnished-holiday-lets.html and the link in the section on disaggregation.
I think that if there is a non-VAT reason for the different ownership, rather than a change in ownership to avoid breaching the limit, you should be OK to treat the businesses as separate for VAT purposes.1
