Civil Service Abatement

Hi all, I took partial retirement from my CS job in 2022. I have been offered a part time job at a higher grade, also in the CS. I am trying to calculate how much abatement would apply should I accept the role. CS pensions told me on the phone they use the salary of reference when I partially retired. I looked on their website and it says they use the salary of reference but apply cost of living rises were appropriate. Does anyone know if this means they add on any annual pay rises since 2022? Thanks.

There's a section on the CSP website about abatement: https://www.civilservicepensionscheme.org.uk/planning-for-retirement/what-are-my-options/partial-retirement/abatement/
How is abatement worked out?
Step 1
We take the salary of reference that was used to work out your pension when you retired and apply cost of living increases where appropriate.
Step 2
We add your new salary and your pension together.
Step 3
If the sum in Step 2 is greater than the sum in Step 1, we will reduce the pension by the difference.
