Once I'm 65 years old will I receive my state pension?  I've worked most of my life. I live in LA housing do I get help with my rent?   Thanks

Not at 65 no, depending on your date of birth it will between 66 and 68, though if you are under forty it will likely be even higher.

You may be entitled to additional payments, pension credits, etc. but it depends on your circumstances and it is not a simple yes or no based on claiming a pension. Do you have a private pension from your employment, savings, assets?

I'd suggest you go online and get a state pension forecast.  It will give you the date of when your SP will begin and how much currently it will pay out.  It will also show if you've missed any years that might be needed to ensure you get the full whack.
