Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, enjoy your half day.
Wet and blustery this morning but seems a lot milder. We'll definitely not have the glorious sunrise we had yesterday.
Busy day at work ahead, we have a big inspection. I stayed on at work yesterday to help tidy up - we emptied a big cupboard and most of it went in the bin, I was exhausted when we'd finished carting everything off to the big outside bins.
I'll get in early ready for my tea and coffee making duties!
Sorry your DS's appointment was cancelled, hope he gets another soon.
What a shame your trip has been cancelled taff.
Hugs to you Ruby.
Hope you enjoyed your meet up Rosy.
Enjoy having your family home snoozer.
Right, off to the shower for me, take care. XX9 -
What a wild noisy night it's been. The wind started to rise at bedtime and is still raging away outside. The temperature is milder which is a bonus though going out is still unattractive.Yesterday I had to go out twice as I forgot to get the one thing I actually went out for and couldn't settle. Now I'm glad that I did. When out I managed to walk much further without pain than for more than a year. 🎉😀 Coping with 'uncomfortable' is much easier than pain. Now it's about getting fit again. I'm very heartened and more optimistic now, exercises do work.Taff - it's such a shame about your cancelled trip.9

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. All sounds calm outside, long may it last.
I enjoyed my lunch meet up with DF yesterday, although the lasagne I chose was a bit too cheesy for my liking and I'm saying that as a cheese lover! We had a good old natter afterwards over a couple of glasses of wine and managed to nab the quiet cosy corner again next to the fire.
Off gallivanting again today as it's bus ride day. We are in a rut and determined to go somewhere different today. Although we don't have a lot of choice with our bus services getting pruned. Wherever we end up lunch etc will be involved! I could quite happily be a lady wot lunches every day!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones or getting better. TAFF what a shame about your holiday getting cancelled, at such short notice as well. TOPSY I hope your DS soon gets another appointment. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning all
No rain here atm but it feels very cold. Off to collect Rob today and take him to work hopefully they will have some inside jobs for us to do as it’s too cold outside.
Dinner tonight will be gnocchi with a tomato and garlic sauce, salad and garlic bread, dd is off today so she will probably cook. I need to pop into the shop on the way home to get a few bits.
I have put a wash on this morning but I think it will have to go on the airer in front of the fire tonight.
Snoozer enjoy having your family back xxx
Taff such a shame your holiday was cancelled xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all. Thought there was going to be a frost as it was so cold last night but we seem to have escaped.
Up and out as I'm helping at the Larder this morning. DH is home as the new dishwasher is arriving and they will plumb it in and take away the old one. Good old JL service - at a cost!
Got some bits and pieces of shopping done yesterday and defrosted some pork to eat for dinner tonight.
Keep well one and all.10 -
Morning everyone
Dull and blustery here this morning. I'm on a course this morning, just on Zoom so I don't have to go anywhere other than my sofa. Then I might pop into town this afternoon and get some more Christmas presents - I don't need much now. I bought the two vouchers I needed yesterday.
Little one is going to one of her classmates' birthday party after school today - it will be the first time DD has left her somewhere by herself. She'll have her phone with her and DD will leave her phone number in case her alarm goes off - she can be back at the little girls house in a few minutes. I'm really hoping it doesn't so she can be the same as the other girls for a couple of hours.
Taff that was really disappointing for you, it's a good job you rang to check the details.
Gers - I often forget what I go out for! I 've written a list for today, but there's always a good chance I'll forget that.
Better get dressed so I look presentable on Zoom - hope everyone has a good day today x

Morning all, the wind has finally died down and it's cold, dry and overcast now. Yesterday we met Mr Fix It's cousin in town, boy she could talk a glass eye to sleep, then we went on to the bank. We spent ages in there, new pin sorted but 3 staff failed to change my phone number so that I could set up the app. We ended up doing a paperwork copy so I hope that works. I managed to do a few more errands with a coffee in between and were very lucky to get a seat as town was heaving, you can tell xmas is coming ! Sadly I didn't get into Dunelm though and I was so shattered that I had to have a nana nap in the afternoon.
Today I'm not sure that anything major will get done except sort the dw and tea tonight will be an easy all day breakfast.
Gers I love the name "fairy door". Hope you don't mind if I pinch that instead of me saying the small door in the big one !
taff thanks but I couldn't set up the app as computer said no. Sorry your hol has been cancelled, maybe some other time ?
Tospy hope your DS gets another appointment soon.
Camelot fingers crossed you have a good inspection.
dp1 hope your DGD can have a great party with no alarms.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones and those in need.

Of course - my pleasure.Topsy - it's awful that your DS has been let down so late in the day, I hope that he gets a new appointment very soon. Would it be worth ringing the consultant's secretary to ask for a cancellation? That used to work. The wind is still raging and now has rain in it. The poor farmer is chugging back and forth taking bundles of silage to the animals. The sheep have rams out with them, can't see it being wonderful weather for it!
