I bought the Degustabox one for me and Monty Bojangles truffle one for my husband, I always used to buy Aldi wine one but now they have stopped online sales that scuppered that.I always buy a foodie one for me as opposed to a sweet one.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I have a "snagvent" calender should have been 12 pairs of tights but I've got a bonus pair. Certainly more expensive than your typical advent calendar at £64.99 but I think it's good value for quality tights that I would have likely bought anyway.

@sarah1972 I agree but I'd have been less keen to spend £130 on tights and I'm not sure I can justify needing 24 pairs of tightsMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

I bought the Boots one as a treat for someone else. Was contemplating the M&S one for myself but I would be better off buying only the items I like.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.1 -
I always make advent calendars with samples (cream, foundation, perfume, shampoo etc.) which I have collected throughout the year.
I started with my mother-in-law, who was very vain, bless her.
Once my daughters saw one, I was in trouble for not making them any. Now both my daughters and my daughter-in-law get one every year. They love them.
It's difficult getting enough samples, though...2 -
Kind of?
I usually get a box of Ferrero Roche and just have one a day as it's much better value. My partner expressed interest in a kinder calender this year- I offered 24 small bars and a kinder egg for Christmas day for the same price. Absolutely left it up to him if he wanted little doors or twice the amount of chocolate. He has joined me in club 'more chocolate please'.
I know there's reusable fabric calenders that might work better for kids with less willpower than adults, and if you're crafty I don't think they'd be difficult to make.4 -
Not this year.Last year I treated myself to a Lindt one, my favourite choc and it cost a lot.More than half the doors had a small round choc in and just 4 or 5 a choc figure. The disappointment of getting a tiny one day after day at such expense was double disappointment. This year its a small glass of Baileys and a post mint choc each dayWell at least one :-)
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
