the 6 creditors I wrote to with a £1 cheque all returned the cheque saying they don't need it.

I assume it's too much hassle for them to cash it
Christians Against Poverty solved my debt problem, when all other debt charities failed. Give them a call !! ( You don't have to be a Christian ! )

  • That’s good then. Hopefully they do that can go back in the savings!!
I’m still floored by the cost of a postage stamp! Did you send yours by 1st or 2nd class?

  • You don't have to send recorded delivery, you can get proof of posting free from the post office and might as well send 2nd. class.

No need to do as Stu did if you are not bothered about checking whether it has arrived.
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.
  • Yeah it would be a total of £56.25 for the postal orders and also recorded.
Hopefully I’d get a few of the £1s back

I have two debts with the same creditor could I send them in the same envelope with 2x £1 postal orders or is it better to do it separately ?
  • Yes send 2 in one envelope, pin the Postal order to the letter so as not to confuse them.
