Wescot returning debt to m&s

Hi all

One of my defaulted CCs is with m&s. It defaulted at the end of Sept. They immediately passed it on to wescot to be managed. I've ignored wescot who have now said they'll return it to their client (m&s) .

I hope this is normal. Is this possibly where m&s will sell the debt on?

Yes. The ball is in M&S's court.

What's your plan for this one?

Creditors tend to assign debts to collectors, who will then go through the collection process with you, if you don`t connect with them, they won`t waste any more time on it, and return the account to the client (they only get paid if you pay them you see).

You may find M&S rinse and repeat with another debt collector, or they may sell the debt, its anyone's guess.

Ideally delay having to pay them for a little while longer. My pcp car term rnds next September so as well as saving into my various pots and ef I'm trying to have cash to replace said car with a runaround

I'm still waiting for two CCs from the black horse bank to default, and there's an OD with them too ...I still haven't quite got my head round what will happen with that

@sourcrates I doubt I will have to wait long to find out their next move. To be fair to m&s they've been quite quick on every step so far
