Bank Accounts

I’m getting prepared for bankruptcy and am wondering whether it’s better to set up a bank account just before or do it after? Which bank account is the best I have debts with Barclays, nationwide and the coop. Any suggestions ?
Thanks in advance

Obviously you will need banking facilities, so choose a bank with whom you have no debt.
Any accounts in debt that you currently have will likely be frozen for a time, and you won`t be able to use them anyway.
A new basic account with no borrowing facility is what you need, that will normally escape any restrictions.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I went with monzo and opened it the day after I was made bankrupt. I think if you open it before it has to be declared in the bankruptcy documentation and there is a risk that it could be frozen.I'm Ever hopeful!:j:j:j:j0
