    So it's 3 possibles (broadly speaking). Stay as a regular employed person, either where he is or for a similar company. Follow his manager as a se person. Go into a business partnership with him. 

    This is all a steep learning curve, but I've had an interesting day's reading :) 
    I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.
  • Update - the buy out is all set to go through so on Monday he’ll be working for the new company. They’ve all had an email saying welcome aboard etc, and it does mention “possible redundancies” but no firm details. 

    We talked about him following his manager as a se person, but manager was only offering the same pay rate so that’s a non-starter.
