I wanted to share a site I've found for saving cash when shopping online. uk.refyoo.com Rather than giving cashback, people post their personal "refer a friend" codes, giving both parties the discount or benefit (often way more valuable than cashback). It's just given me £50 credit switching to Octopus energy, by getting referred (and will have given £50 to the person who posted their referral link). It randomly matches you with a referrer and you can list your own codes too. Definitely worth doing.

Have you checked the terms of Octopus's referral scheme?

I know with AmEx the referral has to be someone known to you and not just strangers on the internet... now they do turn a blind eye to certain bloggers in the Travel sphere who regularly give their referral code in articles etc but in principle could decline all the claims and clawback the benefits paid out if they wanted to.
