TERMS AND CONDITIONS for Tesco Mobile Black Friday x Absolute (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail. 

 

1. 1.              THE ONLINE COMPETITION AND HOW TO WIN ABSOLUTE

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS	Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes: (A)   Online at: https://planetradio.co.uk/absolute-radio Entries are restricted to one per person.  Online entry is free of charge.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	There will be 1 x winner of the Competition in total.  The prize winner will be chosen at random from the persons who successfully answer the question correctly and submit their details. All correct entries will be pooled and winners are selected by electric random draw on 28/11/2023 (online entry period closes at 23:59 on 27/11/2023).
3. ENTRY PERIOD	Entries must be submitted during the following entry period: From 15/11/2023 at 00:01 (the “Start Time”) to Monday 27/11/2023 at 23:59 (“End Time”). Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.  However, if the winner cannot be contacted within 21 days from the date of the initial attempt to contact them/the closing date of the competition, then we will re-draw until we draw a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged [18] years or over on date of entry.  Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms. Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, will not be eligible to take part in this competition nor will anyone else at their address. If by any chance they get through to the phone lines – any prize they have been successful with will not be awarded. 5. THE PRIZE	1 x winners will receive the following prize (the “Prize Package”): -£1,000 cash via bank transfer. Cash can take up to 15 working days to appear in the winner’s bank account, from the point of sending over their details.

 

1. 2.     THE ON AIR COMPETITION AND HOW TO WIN 

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS	Entries are restricted to one entry per person.   Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:   By calling 0330 123 1215 which is charged at your standard network rate, for prize as described in 5.0.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	There will be 5 on-air winners, one per day, each winning spot prizes (as described in Prize 5.0).   The competition will air on Absolute Radio from 20/11/202 - 25/11/2023. The player will be selected each day from the valid call list at random. Listeners will be instructed by the Absolute Radio presenter to call in for a chance to be brought live on air to play the game, each day during 6am to 10am. Entrants will have to play an on-air game, whereby they are read out a list of items by the Absolute radio presenter. The entrant can potentially win the entire list of items. The entrant will have to pick a point at which to stop the game by saying stop.  Any items that are listed, before the player decided to stop the game, will be won by the player. If the buzzer sounds before the player decides to stop, they will lose all of the items which have been listed.  When the entrant says stop, they forfeit the chance to win any of the items on the list which have not yet been read out by the Absolute Radio presenter. In the case of losing all the items, the player will still win £100 cash, but none of the items on the list. Calling into the studio or speaking to a member of the production team does not guarantee you will be invited to play the game or win the prize. Calls should be made to 0330 123 1215 during the period specified by the presenter. Any calls received after the studio lines close, will not be accounted for within the draw.  These winners will receive the prize as stated in Prize 5.0.  Only upon being told they are the winner, will an entrant become the ‘winner’.  All final decisions will rest with the Absolute Radio Production Team. The Absolute Radio Production Team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast.
3. ENTRY PERIOD	On Absolute Radio from 20/11/2023 - 25/11/2023 between 6am (the “Start Time”) and 10am (“End Time”).   Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.    Winner Announcement. The name and the hometown of the winners may be announced during the live period, on-air, on Absolute Radio.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.  Winners must be available to attend Absolute Live on Sunday 27th November as specified by the presenter, no other dates are available. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. 5. THE PRIZE	5 x winners will receive the following prize (the “Prize”):   In the case of the winner stopping the game before the buzzer has sounded:   Items they are read out loud by the presenter before the buzzer sounds. They will only win those which have been read out before this buzzer. These prizes are up to the value of £1,000.   OR    In the case of the buzzer sounding before they have stopped the game:   If the buzzer sounds before the entrant has stopped the game, they will instead win £100 cash, via bank transfer.

1. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize.  Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS. 

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call. 
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route. 
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
