You have made a gross contribution of £928 to the LGPS.
This leaves £15,072.
If you had made no UFPLS up to this point, It would be possible to make a net contribution of up to £12,057.60 to a SIPP - the provider would claim tax relief of up to £3014.40 and add it to your pot.
Once you UFPLS, you trigger the MPAA so in the following year (assuming the same salary) you could contribute only up to a net £8000 and receive tax relief of up to £2000.
There are ways of avoiding triggering MPAA (see post above).0 -
I just realised I missed out an important bit of info D'oh!
For the last 5 years of my full time employment I contributed to the LGPS AVC scheme administered by Prudential. When I took my pension I took the whole amount (around £35K) as a TFLS as allowed by the scheme. I assume that counts as a money purchase scheme, so will that have triggered the MPAA, and am I now not allowed to put any more into my SIPP and get tax relief, or am I still allowed to pay in £10K three times?0 -
Yes, I saw those threads, but I'm still not clear.0

Taking only a tax free lump sum doesn't trigger the MPAA.
Nor do buying an annuity, taking defined benefit pension income and using the small pot rule.
It is triggered by taking a UFPLS lump sum or taking the taxable money out of a flexi-access drawdown pot, from which the 25% tax free has already been taken.2
