Then its a mad dash to wrap the last of the presents up and deliver them and then I'm out for a few with my mum and sister. I took DD in and we went to get a coffee, and starbucks were selling their xmas mugs half price so I got 2 (they have the same pattern as their xmas paper cups) then got DD a little xmas pressie from DS2 - clip-on earrings for £4, ds2 a pressie from dd - TMHT dvd that was £4 and some milk and half price cheese scones and I've come home all xmas'd out.
Pressie wrapping tonight YIPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0

I'm trying to decide what time to have a quick pootle around the supermarket. Ever since I've been MSE 'chipped' I've meant to do the supermarket on Christmas Eve to see what mega bargains there are, but i've never got around to do it.........I reckon I'll go about 2...... hello guys...i'm an infrequent poster, frequent lurker. I became 'effectively' debt free yesterday down from £41k at the start of this year. The numbers haven't changed on my banking statements in time for christmas, but I know everything's paid now and I can get on with living my life in 2008.
I got a few lucky breaks this year and it's really helped me to fix my debt situation - my not very understanding ex left me at the end of 2006 and blamed it all on my debt (or was it ours?) which gave me the light bulb i needed, and I find it hard to believe that i'm now in the position i am in just one year later.
I thank you all for the support you've given me without even knowing it - I'm sure there's more people who come on here and read other's debt diaries and comments than those who post frequently, and that many of those silent ones are getting as much out of this place as I did.
 Merry Christmas
Kipa few lucky breaks, adaptation of the snowball and selling a car... debt freedom!0

well, I popped to 2 small supermarkets near me and didn't come back with very much at all. Somerfield just had a little bit of stuff reduced and it wasn't massively reduced so just got a loaf of bread as I don't have any.
Then went to Asda and they were just about to do the second reduction onthe fresh stuff, but there wasn't much that excited me - lots of cooked meat, some garlic bread and fewother bits and bobs.
The only thing I treated myself was a beautiful bouquet of white roses and silver foliage. they reduced them from £15 to £3.75. I've never seen a load of flowers go so fast! "Stay Wonky":D "Stay Wonky":D

I've just had a thought - every year my OH asks for a list of what I want (which I hate doing)........this year he hasn't asked........which means I'm going to get a total surprise........or absolutely nothing - he hadn't bought ANYTHING for ANYBODY as of 9.30am this morning.......... "Stay Wonky":D "Stay Wonky":D
