Nationwide mortgage offer

So good news Iv had my text from nationwide saying they have issued me a mortgage offer. When the survey took place they found £8000 worth of work that needed doing, would nationwide had spoken to me prior to offering? Or would they just go along with my original application? I’m worried they may have put a retention on that’s all

should imagine a retention if you just had a lender survey

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

The £8k of work mentioned is probably stuff that needs doing at some point but not urgently or does not affect the valuation of the property.
