Caramac's no more. Which discontinued sweets/choc would you bring back?

  • we both liked TOPICS , CHOCOLATE COVERED NOUGAT WITH HAZELNUTS INSIDE, yummy, alas, no more, although Aldi do a similar one but no hazelnuts
  • Bring back a Fry's 5 Centres or a Marathon (none of this Snickers nonsense). I also enjoyed Tooty Frooties, Opal Fruits (never bought when they became Starburst), Polo Fruits, Bazookas and the wee cloth bag with chunks of gum which I think were called Golden Nuggets.  As a luxury item, I do have memories of my dad occasionally coming home from work with a Milk Tray bar to share. That was a real treat, one bar shaped with the strawberry cream, orange cream, caramel keg and others from a box of chocs. Whilst on the subject of 'Treats', we should have them back too, M&M peanuts just don't taste the same.

    Terry's Waifa
    Toffo
    Cabana
    Texan
    Gypsy Creams
    Cresta fizzy drinks
    Drifter
    Pacers
    Space Dust

Ah yes, Gypsy Creams, I liked those (assuming you are talking about the biscuit). On the subject of biscuits, I would bring back a McVities Sport and a Bandit

i absolutely loved the Fuse bar - i walked to the shop after parking my car at home (even tho the shop was on the route) to justify the calories by those burned walking uphill !!!

They all seem to be shrinking out of existence.
  • Does anyone remember 'double agents'.  A boiled sweet with a soft centre.  Lime with chocolate was lovely, and so was strawberry and cream. Yum!
  • Bring back Aztec bars Cadbury's, you know it makes sense.
  • In the mid/late 80s Cadburys Boost used to have a coconut incarnation (in fact, it may well have originally been coconut, then joined by the caramel biscuit Boost we know yoday, then the cara-biscuit usurped the coconut version).

All I know for sure is that a) they were delicious, b) they came in a red wrapper, and c) I've missed them for decades!  Reckon they probably cost 20p, and were a proper size, not this nonsense you get these days where you can squeeze two inches of thin air at either end of the packet and on opening find a bitesize snack that's gone in a blink of an eye...much like our youths!
  • Dark chocolate Bounty we miss you!
  • I've never ever heard of a Caramac until last weeks press reports.
