Good morning, it's raining again, would you believe it! Yesterday was a lovely day.I
Thank you for the good wishes everyone , my procedure was so quick and I never felt a thing. It didn't reveal anything untoward, nether did the CT scan I had last week, so the Dr has discharged me. I can stop going on about it now.
Sorry to hear you're not well Snoozer, hope you soon feel better. Esben is 4 already, where did that time go.
I'm forgetting who said what, but I know that Taff is doing 100 things at once as usual! Gers, I had a bottle of nail oil from B@ots, and rubbed a drop in every night, one drop for 5 nails. It worked, takes time though.
Good wishes to everyone, hope you all have a good day. Thinking of the poorlies.
Take care folks.

Morning all
Thanks for starting us off Scarlet glad all went well yesterday xx
Pouring with rain here again just as the roads we’re starting to dry out a bit 🙄 we will be back to floods by dinner time ! I’m off to collect Rob today and take him to work.
Dinner tonight will be cottage pie which I made and frozen previously so just needs shoving in the oven and some veg doing. The DW is on and doing its thing so I will empty that before I go.
I need to pop in the shops on the way home and get a few bits.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning everyone Scarlet pleased everything went well yesterday it’s a miserable wet day here and very cold off to work in a minute not a lot else going on just plodding on thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

What a foul day it is here. After a few days of cold crisp days it's now cold and wet with driving rain. Luckily I don't need to go outdoors today.I'm slowly getting used to the new look of my nails. They are very plain and short, no bling or art, and very smooth. My own are very ragged and split so the topping is lovely. Scarlet - I have some cuticle oil though wasn't as disciplined at putting it on as you, I will be from now on. And I'll drink more.No plans for the day though I'm sure that I'll find something to fill it. I hope that everyone is warm and safe.10

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I am pleased you got the all clear yesterday.
Bus trip day today so of course it's raining as usual. Our bus rides seem jinxed as it's always a wet day for them. We are having a change today and planning Ilkley as not been for a good while. I must keep my eyes peeled for possible Xmas gifts as I have hardly got off the ground with present buying this time. I can't summon up the enthusiasm. But if the rain persists an early wine 'n dine lunch might sound more appealing!
Life of Pi seemed well received by the audience last night as the applause went on forever. I wasn't sure how much it would appeal to DGD (12) but she said she had enjoyed it. The puppetry of the animals was brilliant. We enjoyed our meal in the 1914 beforehand and each of us shovelled down 3 courses!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning all; it's raining again!
Yesterday was nice and sunny so I took the bus to MK and browsed the shops and the Library. Picked up a birthday card and a few little bits then had to wait a while for a bus home. Managed to pack up DS's birthday present but will have to courier it to him, plus he's away for his actual birthday so want to send it early. Also managed to rebook a visit from the Fire Service to check and replace our smoke alarms.
Today I'm popping up to the Community Larder as a customer and then we're meeting friends for lunch at a garden centre. It will be too miserable to look round the outside stuff but there's plenty to see inside. I need a couple of Christmas gift bags for the grandchildren so they should have a good selection.
Nothing else going on here! Enjoy your day10 -
Morning all, thanks for starting Scarlet, glad yesterday went well. I'm getting bored of saying it but it's very wet hereI'm going to be doing more of the same this morning, trying to get rid of some of the rubbish we held onto for far too long, kept in the wardrobes. I have a delivery between 12-1, and after that will pick up DGS, wellies at the ready! He is playing football tonight, it's a good trek away up the motorway so it'll be snacks in the car instead of tea. Not sure if DGD is coming too yet.I did go for a walk in one of the brief rain free interludes yesterday. I wanted to see the water level of the brook that runs past here down the hill after seeing pics on FB, but further upstream where there is a waterfall - very noisy! There are some cottages nearby- I'm sure it must disturb their sleep!Nothing else to add so I'll wish you all well, Snoozer hope you are ok x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone
Raining here this morning but it's meant to brighten up by lunchtime - I've got some washing to go out when it does. Yesterday was a lovely sunny day.
I took Trixie cat to the vets yesterday for her yearly jab - £57! Then DD drove round to our big Salvation Army shop as it's nearby - I found a nice pine bookcase will go nicely in my living room, it was only £30. I have to wait 3 weeks though for delivery as it was too big for the car. DD was pleased I'd found one as we've been going up to look for about 3 months now.
I'll go for some shopping this morning and then call at mam and dads for a cuppa. I have some things to list on ebay so will try to get that sorted this afternoon. I put little one's pushchair on Gumtree and have a lady coming to look at it at lunchtime. I only asked £20 as it was second hand when I bought it but it's a decent one.
Tomorrow I have a man coming to fit a smart meter - last time he needed turn up so I got £30 credited to my account - quite hoping he doesn't show again tomorrow!
Last night it took me ages to set the thermostats both upstairs and downstairs so the heating comes on on the timers - it was nice and cosy when I got up this morning.
Well I'd better get moving - hope everyone has a good day today x

Morning! Just...Weather is wet, but I don't need to go out, except to top up the Christmas cake supplies, I think I have to make five, including a special one for my sister who doesn't like mixed peel, nuts or icing but does like marzipan. The recipe quantities makes two six or seven inch wide, deep cakes so halving the recipe should be fine for her and adding a few more cherries...And I have my cognac at the ready....I made two christmas puds last year so I have one left, and no need to make them this year. I also have mincemeat left over from last year so no need to do that either. Off to OHs mums for supper or dinner or whatever you call it, she;s attmepting toad in the hole again after the disaster recipe last time...Professional toad pride is at stake here....Does anyone have any recommendations for a lunch place in Bath not too far from the station with nice food of any sort? meeting up with a newly discovered uncle next week...should be fun...Suppose I'd better go get dressed [ see, a defnitely non million miles and hour day today
] and have a shufti at the shops...
Gers sounds good, hope it works for you..I'm not so sure it wasn't having the nails done in the first place that caused mine, so I'll just stick with the remedial stuff and not go super shiny for a bit [ shame, I like having my nails done] . Scarlet, yayyy! Ruby, hope it does stay less floody for you later! TA, enjoy Ilkley, I always think of that song when I see the name, On Ilkla Moor Baht 'at, no idea why, I can't even remember where I heard it the first time...WL, enjoy your sociable day! Rosy, happy decluttering...dp1, well found on the bookcase, and 57? I think I was robbed, I paid almost twice that [it did include 3 months of flea stuff but still extortionate] Take care all, have a nice day if you can whether in or out....

Taff I'm glad I said no when the vet asked me if I wanted flea stuff I just buy it from Amazon.
I remember my headmaster at first school used to sing that song - no idea why! x8
