Good morning, it's raining again here (I was just joking about missing it Camelot) anyway it's back!
Yesterday stayed dry, till late evening, it was cold though, and damp, that penetrating raw cold.
We went to T*sco for shopping for a change, I like their bread. That was our only trip out.
Sorry to hear your little dog is so distressed Izzy, it didn't seem too bad here last night. Hope it isn't tonight, as everyone is saying, they're so loud these days.
Glad you enjoyed your holiday Dp1.
Your Christmas weekend with your Dd sounds lovey Ruby.
The show you went to sounds nice TA, it's lovely that it raised some money.
I think I need to ring the dentist tomorrow, I've got a slightly swollen tender area behind a tooth, and I don't want it to develop any further.
Hope everyone has a good day today, thinking of our poorlies.
Take care folks

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET for starting us off. It's a damp start here. Not raining, just damp looking! But the forecast is a good 'un.
The fireworks hereabouts were a bit subdued last night, they were going off but didn't seem as loud as previous years. Maybe tonight will be different! I feel for you with terrified pets.. I've been there and know how distressing it is.
DD and I used to have a weekend in York this time of year to do our Christmas shopping. We were like packhorses going back home on the train. I don't think I could stand the pace now!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. COXY it's good your DDad is up to strolling out in the Cyprus sunshine.. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8 -
Morning all; it's not raining!
Quiet weekend here. I deleted lots of sent emails yesterday and will do more of the same today, once I've tackled the ironing. I might also cut back my raspberries and a bit more of the buddleia, seeing as our green bin will be emptied tomorrow.
Forgot to say that I had to renew my driving licence (because of my forthcoming birthday!); did it online on Monday and posted off my cut up licence, then had my new one arrive in the post on Friday. Excellent service, which was a nice surprise. I thought I might have to faff around getting a new photo taken but they used the one from my passport.
Happy Sunday everyone.9 -
Morning all, quite pleasant here + not raining. Thanks Scarlet, hope your dentist can sort your mouth. DH and I are well overdue a visit. As predicted DGD football has been cancelled.DH says we can use the time to strip the wallpaper in the bedrrom in readiness for the new wardrobes. Unfortunately that means moving the bed which is really heavy, the 4 storage drawers are full! That is good service WLThe fireworks were loud but the tablets helped enormously, & we also had Classic FMs Pet classics on loudish. It's on again tonight. I don't like dosing her up but it's not good for such a big dog to be so frantic. Hope your dog is ok Izzy, and all the others too.Steak for tea so thats nice and quick- there's a jar of Diane sauce from the butchers too.Have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. I've been lying in bed watching the sun attempt to rise - all that happened was that the dark grey sky turned to light grey. Now it's more blue. The weather is very chilly today with rain forecasted for later. Doing my blooming exercises helped warm me up at bit. The lino in the bathroom always makes my feet go cold straight after being in a cosy bed. (I'm such a wuss sometimes
)
On Friday I ordered riced cauliflower pouches from AMZ and was very surprised when they arrived yesterday. I buy the pouches as I've tried to rice a cauliflower myself and ended up with bits of it everywhere, great mess and too much to eat before it all starts to smell. These pouches are not stocked locally so an order made sense.I managed to start the scanning the paperwork yesterday and got about halfway through. Then I got boredso went out with the bag of recycling and bottles to the tip. Once back I got trapped in the rabbit hole of Torchwood - must make more effort.
Well done Coxy on getting your contract changed - you'll feel so much better for it.Wicked Lady - that's reassuring to read, my licence is due early next year. Both my passport and DL photos are the same and now 10 years old so perhaps I won't be as lucky. Passport isn't due for renewal until 2026.TA - somehow I can you imagine being laden down with packages.Scarlet - what a pain, I hope that you can get an appointment.DP1 - lovely to hear of your time in Ayr. You made me smile at all the activities for your little one.Izzy and all other dog owners - I hope that they weren't too terrified. Could be more tonight unfortunately. The bonfire castle looked splendid as I drove past it yesterday afternoon. Men were still building it up. I expect it'll be gone by now. Someone posted on FB a wee video of the fireworks so I got to enjoy them from afar.I'm going to do the long trek up to Oban as I've something to take back to Tesco before the time is up. Perhaps I can get there and back before the rains come8 -
Morning All
Lovely sunshine this morning, hope it lasts! Sorry you have the rain back Scarlet, it must have known you were missing it!!
Very lazy day yesterday, I walked with my trolley down into our little town and got what I needed then went to see my friend across the road, after that it was feet up in front of the TV.
Washing was more or less dried outside yesterday, just needed airing by the fire. All folded and put away now - I was on emergency knickers!
Glad your DDad is enjoying the sunshine Coxy and well done on the pay negotiations.
Pleased to hear the medication helped your pooch Rosy - the fireworks weren't as bad as I thought they would be last night.
Great service WL - is your big birthday soon?
Sounds like a good trip out to see your DGDs and raise some money TA.
Nothing in particular planned for today, will probably look to see what I have for Christmas presents and make a list as to what I have to get.
Hope you all have a happy and peaceful Sunday, take care. XX7 -

Morning All
We are currently back in sunny Kent, it rained on our journey down from Norfolk yesterday and we still have to detour as local area flooded
I had a day procedure on our local hospital yesterday and then needed to badger poor staff to let me leave. Sadly DMIL has taken a turn for the worse and is having eol treatment. The whole family had seen her yesterday by the time we arrived.she had a stable night so we will see her again later. I am keeping an eye on DH and his brother as I think they are holding back for DGC
WL we were impressed with new driving licences arriving promptly when we changed address
DP1 glad you had a lovely holiday
Coxy good news on your contract
Hope everyone with pets have a calmer night.
I haven't really though too much about Christmas presents yet but DD sent me a text with a gift idea for DGC will look later
Sending hugs to all who want them
Have a good day

Morning all its dry and sunny here in my bit of London so i am grateful for that DH has gone to work so all quiet and i will do the housework before the monday-wednesday mayhem that is DGS . I spent most of yesterday doing our visas for India what a palaver the questions were bizarre and detailed along with photos and trying to find our old passports for our previous visa which was unsuccessful but this morning both visas came through so all good .
I have just realised i have very little for xmas in the way of gifts and we go away in a 4 weeks till the 17th Dec cue i think i will be rushing round on my return i dont feel very festive so i dont think that helps.
Hoping the fireworks aren't too bad for the frightened pets tonight
Coxy lovely to hear your dad is enjoying his walks
NRA Thinking of you and all your family x
Gers we really like riced cauliflower in fact we dont really have rice now i buy it frozen from tesco and just pop the individual bags in the microwave
TA I remember the days we used to do all our xmas present shopping in town my mum used to set one whole day to do it all now i seem to buy bits all year round
Scarlet I hope you manage to see your dentist quickly i find if i get a problem i brush the area vigoursley with a soft brush and use a mouthwash with chlorahexadine in it tesco do one thats reasonable this usually helps till i can see someone
Right better get on have a good day whatever you are up to stay safe dry and warm xxSlava Ukraini9
