I have accessed all four credit files via check my file . All the information is correct . 2 CJ BOTH fall off my file next year last in june,
6 defaults come off 2028. I have no desire to access credit again My home is secure will not be looking to buy/rent anything .I do and have started a saving pot for emergencies ie car repairs etc and consumable replacement . I understand I could send that money to the debts but i have factored in all being paid off over the coming 24 months as their is no rush. However when the cj drop off and defaults start to state settled will that improve my file ? as i currently pay utilities with a pay as you go smart meter no debt on it, I would like to change to a cheaper provider . The current provider doesnt charge any extra for being a pay as you go but the usage rates are higher than others, I have viewed and when I asked to change provider the new one said pay as you go only!!! and one asked for a £350 deposit DD if i wanted any suggestions? and once my file shows settled or removed due to time frame will I be in a better position regards changing providers?
