Moorcroft vs PayPal - who should I be paying?

Until recently I was on a DMP with StepChange but ended up voluntarily after advice on here. I'm now sorting out my payments with providers myself and it's mostly going smoothly. However, I've come across one major issue.
I was in debt to PayPal Credit but this seemed to have been passed over to Moorcroft Debt Recovery. But PayPal Credit still say that I owe them £1005 and are asking me to pay them, while Moorcroft have sent me a letter saying that I owe them exactly the same amount of money.
I definitely don't owe BOTH of them £1005 so any advice on what I should do next would be appreciated. Obviously, I can contact them but want to make sure I do this correctly, hence asking on here.

It sounds like Moorcroft are collecting on behalf of Paypal, they did the same with me when I was with Stepchange, but then it changed back to being handled by Paypal when I went self managed.Phone Paypal and ask how they want you to pay, when I did it Paypal set up a payment plan and added my debit card to my account, and then I just used the app each month to make a payment.1

If Paypal (who own the debt) are asking you to pay them direct, then I would do that
Moorcroft are here-today, gone-tomorrow.2 -
I have the same situation. Stepchange pay Moorcroft, but paypal still send me automated statements. They include the payments I've made to Moorcroft (with some delay) so either way I think it ends up in the same place.1
