Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
I think it's dry here, it would be nice if we had a dry day for a change.
I caught up with a bit of sewing yesterday, just a couple of things that needed minor alterations, and I went to the library to return books, that was it really, apart from the quiz last night.
Today I'm going for a CT scan of my bladder, that's at 1pm. I hope they aren't running late as you've got to have a full bladder!
Hope everyone has a good day, and thoughts to our poorlies, and those with poorly relatives.
Take care folks.

Morning all and hope everyone is well.
Can I just ask what O/S & NMLC mean please?
Work today but have Thursday & Friday off!
Have a good day all.

Morning folks. Early one off me as I have an Oc*do delivery booked early doors. No subs or OOS items says my email. Mostly fridge and cupboard stuff as I am still trying in vain to get the freezers down a bit.
What a debacle yesterday. DF and I were enjoying a leisurely lunch when 2 ladies I know came in and said they had walked down as the road from up here to town was closed due to a bad accident. Facebook was alive with it and all sorts of rumours and speculating going on. When we were wanting to leave it was still closed and the only alternative route up here here is the old cobbled twisty turny road which was the only access for the horse and carts in the good old days. Not the ideal route these days. DF was ok as she lives in the opposite direction. So she rang her DH up and asked if he would be a good Samaritan and come and bring me home up the said road. Never seen so many cars struggling up and down it but he got me home safely bless him. The road finally opened around 8 pm with reports of injuries and fatalities. Bad news for some people.
No plans of going out today and middle DGD has invited herself for tea again after school so will get my thinking cap on and decide what we are having. I know her favourite meals!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for all our poorlies, poorly loved ones and those with worries and woes. Take care all, be safe xx

Scarlet - I hope that all goes well for you today.TA - what a rough end to your day.My physio appointment was good, more and different exercises to do! After it I snuggled under the heated throw for the day. Did the weekly banking which I'd missed on Monday.Today is foul outside, such a contrast with Monday and Tuesday. There's noisy winds and heavy rain so I'm definitely not putting even a nose over the threshold. There's the monthly banking to do which takes longer than the weekly one. I may light the woodburner though it doesn't seem as cold as yesterday (yet).8

Morning everyone it’s very wet and windy here and set to stay that way I had just got to sleep last and someone let a fireworks off it was like a bomb I don’t think they are buying them in the shops because it was streets away anyway ended up at midnight changing the bed as the dog was that stressed out she ended up been sick on it I rinsed it quickly under the bath tap to get the worst off and I will take it into work today to wash and dry as it’s a thick fleecy one it would be . Scarlet I hope everything goes well for you today and your appointment is on time talking about time I’m running out of it off to work in a minute. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Morning all
Pouring with rain here (when will it stop!) and we are due storms today and tomorrow a lot of the roads are flooded and impassable the detours are all packed with cars and people trying to get through, the local Tesco is closed and their car park is a lake and the caravan park next to it has been evacuated as all the caravans are floating in water 😳 it’s really not a good state and only going to get worse I think.
Im off to collect Rob today assuming I can get through and take him to work it will be inside jobs today for sure, I need to pop into the shop on the way home to get some bits.
Dinner tonight is undecided yet but I will pick something up while shopping.

Hi everyone, That sounds nasty TA. Good job you have access to industrial machines Izzy, poor little dog. I don't blame you Gers, I'm looking at the weather here thinking it's a good day to be indoors. There have been gasworks going on in the street for a couple of weeks and we were notified that they will be turning us off today and tomorrow and might need access at any time. It's ok for us but the people who go out to work won't be very happy. Laura started packing for Costa Rica last night. I'm sitting here trying to bite my tongue - weeks ago I asked if they have travel insurance and Brian blithely said he had it on his Amex account. Last night, lo and behold, the cover isn't valid so they need to get more. OK, at least they will have it, but if one of them gets ill at this late stage and they can't go I'm sure they will be refused a payment because the company will say they knew they were getting sick and that is why they got the cover. Sorry for the rant but it makes me so cross. Esben went trick or treating last night and came back with a bucket of sweets, most of which he won't eat. We had about a dozen little visitors, most of whom were beautifully dressed up and well-behaved. Have a good day.10

Morning all, it's not raining! Sure it will soon.I was awake before 6 as the road sweeper was going up and down, getting rid of the leaves round the grids before the next storm.TA what a palaver for you but very sad there are fatalities.Scarlet hope it goes well today. Gers ,DH remarked on it feeling noticeably warmer this morning. Snoozer well done on keeping quiet!RR sounds bad near youDGS went trick or treating last night once he went back to his mums.He and DS2 called on the way back from his football camp which he loved. I forgot to give him the Halloween sweets I got. We didn't get anyone knocking, there aren't any children round here, only very young ones up the road. Izzy, poor dog, I heard fireworks but got away with it as I turned the tv up when she was dozing and I heard the 1st ones, hubby needs it loud anyway. I'm sure it'll be a lot worse at the weekendDS asked me if I'd have DGD here either tomorrow or Friday, her mum and nanna are working. She doesn't get to come here very often now she's at high school so hopefully we'll find something she wants to do.I had to hastily make a loaf last night as I realised there were only 2 slices left & none in the freezer.Ds1 had asked for a sausage butty for tea & ended up with it on 2 frozen bagels I found in the depths of the freezer, ah well it cleared a little space
Chicken stir fry tonight.

Morning all! Yep, raining here but on the plus side, I wasn't planning any gardening anyway
I've got new tablets and I don't know if it's the weather or them reacting with my normal tablets, but I just can't move the last two mornings. Going to need a hoist to get out of bed at this rate soon. Nothing much planned for today, have to put some beans to soak, work out a refired beans recipe to make tomorrow, I could go shopping today instead of friday I suppose...Nothing earth shatteringly immediate anyway. I was just putting the magazines in the recyling last night when there was a knock at the door, trick or treater, along with his whole family and I stood there frozen for a bit because I didn't know if I had any sweets...Then I rememberd I had some, gave them to him and his whole family said thank you, and ushered him on to the next house, so polite! And then I shut the light off, drew the curtains at the door and prayed no one else would knock
Gers, sounds like a good day, excercise, then relaxationScarlet, hope they're on time for you! TA, how awful for them, glad you got home ok though. Izzy, same here, fireworks going off at half twelve last night. Poor little dog..Ruby, omg, that sounds very biblical! take care! snoozer, well done on biting your tongue, let's hope they don't need it..maybe next time they'll check first
Rosy, enjoy having your dgd there, maybe some cooking together? Right, take care all, hope all the mia are ok, hugs if not, brollies at the ready today!
