I'm due to retire in December 2030 but intend to retire Dec 2024
My state pension forecast reads 

You can get your State Pension on  December 2030

Your forecast is £203.85 a week, £886.38 a month, £10,636.60 a year

Your forecast

• is not a guarantee and is based on the current law
• is based on your National Insurance record up to 5 April 2023
• does not include any increase due to inflation

£203.85 is the most you can get

You cannot improve your forecast any more.

You have:

• 44 years of full contributions
• 7 years to contribute before 5 April 2030

You do not have any gaps in your record.

My question is if I retire 6 years early and stop paying NI contributions  will it affect my state pension

No because your statement has the all important "£203.85 is the most you can get. You cannot improve your forecast any more."

At the moment it won't but who's to say the rules/criteria can't change in the next 6 years to your detriment if you are not paying NI conts.

In the cridland report I think the recommendation was to give at least ten years notice of any changes, which hopefully any govt would adhere to.
