I moved out of the property in June, it was a prepaid meter. In fact talking to them I am owed £12.90. Why are they adding an account to my report in November whilst I’m going through a mortgage application. I am very worried, it was a prepaid meter and eon are saying to contact ClearScore/Equifax surely this isn’t right

Worried about what? Its a utility account, lenders believe it or not realise people have gas/electricity/water to pay for so what issue do you actually think its going to create if its not showing a debt?
The answer is "none".2 -
My water and energy accounts all appear on my report (have done for years) - and as above, as long as they're not in debt/show a payment agreement, then I can't see why it would cause any problems.
If anything it would be an advantage to have more stable and well managed accounts on your record (assuming that they're even considered).I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.1 -
I don't see any reason for reporting a prepaid meter accont to CRAs. Is it just me? And if it's eOn, I don't understand why they are fobbing off the OP to the CRAs. It's only the utility company that could report the account to CRAs.1

Thank for your reply🤣 I am young and I wasn’t sure why it has been added so long after I moved in. That’s all I didn’t realise utilities show up. Thanks0
