Morning All
It's chilly but dry this morning. I have a pile of towels to go on the line before I go to work, hopefully they will be dry by the time I get home. There is bedding to wash but there's no hurry for that.
I had the best night's sleep I've had for weeks although I still woke up very early, it was good to have the house to myself again! DD came to take DS1 and DP to the airport so that saved them a taxi fare.
It was back to work with a bump yesterday but the day went in really quickly as it was so busy, it will probably be the same again today.
Hope everyone is well and you have a good day (sorry my mind has gone blank). Take care. XX

Lovely morning moon and twinkling stars to 'greet' me earlier.I enjoyed my hotel breakfast, it's always a wee treat. Waiting for my car to be serviced was livened by listening to an audio book. After it I dud a small amount of shopping before driving home. The colours of the late autumnal trees were so beautiful, glorious russets, oranges and yellows. And the weather was clear and sunny though chilly. In the evening I had a meeting over teams which I could have done without but it was quite short. This morning I have a physio appointment at 8.00am then I'm doing some resting.I hope you can sort out your new contract Coxy.10

Morning folks. No twinkling stars here this morning, just cloud and rain. Though not as heavy as other parts are getting. And it feels none too warm either. The heating is on just to warm the place up a bit.
A few minor chores to do this morning and then I am meeting my DF for lunch. We usually go to the same place I went with BFF every Tuesday for morning coffee and lunch and I still half expect to see her come though the door. I still miss her and our endless texts back and forth every day.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and anyone with worries and woes. Thinking of you COXY. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
Thanks for all the support on the job, DDad, general life issues!! Much appreciated x
We got home at 1am from the gig - will need a very early night tonight eeek. I have a pumpkin to carve at lunchtime as we have some littlies in the road who will be around from 5pm, plus a tub of sweets for them to plunder. Dinner tonight is a SW sticky chicken recipe with Pak Choi - looks yum.
Have a lovely lunch out @TravellingAbuela x
Enjoy the peace and quiet of an empty house @camelot1001 x
I too am enjoying the changing leaf colour @Gers - not quite as stunning in SE London as in your neck of the woods I expect!
Have a good day all,
Coxy

Morning all; wet here today
I seem to be ok following my Covid jab. Some friends have had delayed reactions so keeping my fingers crossed as I'm playing the music for a WI presentation tomorrow night. I also managed to drop off a couple of DS's winter jackets to a charity shop whilst out. They had been languishing in the wardrobe for some years and one of them no longer fitted him.
Today I might make a Delia Smith marmalade cake, always a favourite here, plus there's more ironing to do. I'm at the dentist to get this filling done this afternoon then we are having some Thai curry from the freezer, in an attempt to clear it down a bit.
Stay dry!10 -
Morning all
Dry here for now but more rain due later and tomorrow is meant to get bad again with storms and rain. Only two coming today as one is still sick this is the 3rd week she has been off she is struggling with vertigo which has really knocked her bless her.
Not sure what we will do today will see what the chaps fancy doing it might be a day indoors baking and crafts if the rain comes back early.
Dinner tonight will be scampi with chips and peas, dd will be back this afternoon after a 24 hr shift so she will be shattered bless her.
I need to have a quick tidy and hoover through this morning.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning everyone I should of been in work this morning I had swapped shifts with the other girl but the hospital rang yesterday and cancelled her appointment as the consultant was poorly hopefully she won’t have to wait to long . We have loads of work in but I’m just enjoying having my breakfast and a sit down before I go in later I’ve taken meatballs out for tonight I feel like I might be getting somewhere emptying the freezer I’ve promised myself I am going to be more organised with it . It’s dry at the minute here but we are forecast rain for the rest of the week so I think my rain dance is working I will keep doing it until these fireworks stop . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning all, a bit dull here & heavy rain forecast. I know what you mean about autumn colours, the trees across the road are glorious, dropping fast now though. We had a couple came to buy some wardrobes at the weekend & as soon as I opened the door she was enthusing about the treesI'm popping into town in a while to get some veg off the market, then get the bus back up to the butchers to pick up my meat pack, and pay for my Christmas pack too (gulp) but at least it'll be paid for early.DS2 picked up DH for work, 1st day on a new job doing an extension on a bungalow, so it's just a matter of sorting out the digger man today which is lucky as DGS is at a football camp and will need picking up at 3. DH is struggling with his hip again but will insist on going to work. Yesterday after a phone appointment with the doc on Saturday , he was able to get on the list for another injection at the consultants but dont know when yet.I hope it isn't too long.I did a bit more clearing in the bedroom getting ready for DH to do the built in ones. It'll give us so much more storage than the 2 free standing ones.Fish for tea tonight, seabass for me and fish goujons for menfolk. I might get some more seabass when I go on the market, though I do still have 1 lot left.Right better get ready. Take care all and hugs to Coxy x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10

Morning all. Sorry I missed a few days, my sister came up to do the twice yearly quiz. We were rubbish and pretty much came last, it was a bit spolied by one table who were obviously professional quiz attenders who just argued every single round about what a question meant. I made a roast on Sunday which my sister was very happy with, she doesn't tend to coo a full roast for herself. And she took the chairs back with her so there's more room in the living room again.Just had an email from someone who turned out to be my uncle, [nefarious goings on by my grandmother means my grandfather wasn't my grandfather] asking for a meet up, so I think, why not...might as well go...I picked up my fake boob yesterday too so I'll give that a test run this week. And I have cooking and organising to do before the weekend. Today though, Ihave to read some gardening magazines so I can put them out with the recycling, there are about twenty so that's my day sorted. And I've just made a whatsapp group for my cat sitter with pictures and instructions about the cats and how stuff works and where it is in the house. And the blind man [:::snort:::] has been and measured up so we'll have some intu blinds and some shutters on all the upstairs windows and the downstairs bay in december at some point. It's not cheap but on the other hand, it's local, and I don't have to do it , so totally worth it. And someone else can have the headache of making sure it's completely right.Coxy, hope yor fathers news improves, hows your dd's new job going? and hope you get more sleep this week. TA, yeah, as time goes on, I miss people more, not less...Scarlet, have a nice quiz! dp1, yeah, they could definitely have phrased it better and to be honest, why are they telling you? if they're worried about your dgd fair enough, but they know she's not well all the time. Ridiculous. Their league tables are not your responsibility. right, hope everyone is doing ok, take care....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi8
