Pension Calculators

Why have none of the IFAs linked you to this, I wonder...?

Didn't know it existed and why should I? The software I use is more accurate and detailed.
This one doesnt appear too bad but it is still very generic and doesnt allow much customisation. It is ideal for those not paying for advice or do it yourself and only need a guidence to what they need. It also doenst take into account existing contracts.
I put my own details in to it and got a figure double what my software said I needed. In fact the monthly figure was more than most pay in over a year. No calculator is going to be spot on as there are too many variables but knowing what my own provision is and what it can generate, this website calculator was way off the mark.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

And I didn't know it existed either as am not an IFA in the normal sense, as I do not advise individuals. I have a whole team of actuaries at my beck and call for sorting out pension projections which are probably just as inaccurate as your online calculator and DD's software. ;D0 -

I am rather fond of this calculator, its been around a while, by my calculations its accurate enough to give you an idea and I like the way you can customise it.
DCSmile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
I must say I am supprised at how fuzzy the who task of forcasting your pension really is. The variables are just to many.

We do not know what will happen tomorrow let alone 15 to 20 years down the line.
The true answer is "We Just Do Not Know The Answer".
we are warned that the past is not necessarily a guide to the future but then most shot in the dark forcasts are based on the assumption that the future will be like the past................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -
