How are the phone lines these days?

My wife needs to top up 2 years of NI some time in the next 8 years from post 2021 years going up to 2033 when she reaches SPA.

We have not progressed this up to now due to the mad rush.

Are the phone lines still blocked most of the time or has the rush died down for the minute?

If you know the years you want to buy and the cost, there is no need to call at all. I paid for 2 years by simply sending a cheque.
