    So I have had notification from HMRC that the tax code is now BRx so maybe I will get refunded via the employer

    I am sticking with the pension payments
    X in your code  means it operates month to month only so you won't get any refund for previous months from your employer.

    Grrr it was a substantial amount as well, do I have to wait til the end of the tax year |? I am only planning on working about another 10 days up until Xmas then finishing.
    Over £2K made from bank switches and P2P incentives since 2016 :beer:

    If you are confident that you have overpaid on that employment then just ask HMRC to issue the code on a cumulative basis.

    Your employer will then recalculate your tax the next time they pay you (after receiving the new code) and the tax due at that point should be 20% of your taxable earnings in that new employment.

    yeah, they owe me nearly £500, hopefully sorted after todays call
