Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, showers forecast for the day.
Dinner was a quick chicken dippers, chips and beans. Tonight will be a quick meal also, possibly takeaway pizza.
Have chores to do when I get in from work, but not too much just inconvenient having to move furniture about.
Hopefully work won't be too bad.
Looking forward to a weekend off.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Still dark and looks like it has rained overnight. Once again I woke up too early but have been messaging my cousin who is on her way to Glasgow on the train - when she told me she had got tickets for £12.00 return I didn't realise she would have to leave Chester at 4.15am!
Hope your DD enjoyed her first day at work Coxy.
Glad the little one is feeling better and enjoys her party dp1. It's the hallowe'en party at school tonight but it's not something I go to, I have enough of them all day without having them screaming about with masks on!
Hope you are all well, not sure I'll get back on here for a few days but I'll try and catch up.
Take care. XX9 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Another dull day for us but still reasonably mild. Could be worse.
I had a good bus day out yesterday and, as expected, ended up in Skipton. I was a bit of a spendthrift but nothing too extravagant! A chiffony long scarf off the market and a big winter weight jumper from FatFace.. But in my defence it was in the half price sale! As always, lunch and wine was enjoyed but the pub was busy so the coach tours must still be out in force.
No gallivanting today so my plan is to give the kitchen and bathroom a good bottoming. The laundry bin is filling up so the wm will be on too and the washing festooning the back bedroom. (Which reminds me, well done COXY for finally getting your DD to tackle her washing!)
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. CAMELOT your cousin is made of sterner stuff than me booking a 4.15 am train! Take care all, be safe xx

Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
DD has just left for day 2. Three other new starters yesterday, all girls and all her age and just graduated. Will be good for her to socialise with people her own age as since she returned home DH and I have been her social circle!
WFH again today and I have a half day tomorrow afternoon. Going to get a manicure for the first time in years as I had a voucher from BIL for my birthday. Will try to get all cleaning done before I go, to try to preserve them!
Dinner tonight is SW tin can massaman curry with rice. We are seeing Killers of the Flower Moon at 6.30pm. It's 3.5 hours long so hoping I can stay awake. Not sure quite why films have to be that long!
4.15am train @camelot1001 - was it worth her going to bed?!
@IzzyBee the bosses wife sounds like a piece of work!
Have a good day everyone

Morning all
Dull and damp here and rain due for most of the day, I am off to collect Rob and take him to work for more halloween fun yesterday we carved a pumpkin and made a bat bird feeder out of a paper cup and pipe cleaners 😃 I can’t remember who said about him making his own lunch but no sadly it was his mum who sent him with that, Rob has Pica which means he will eat anything even non food items it’s like a compulsion so he would pack everything he could into a lunch box, he has got a lot better with age but you have to watch him all the time.
DD is working a late shift today so just OH and I here for dinner we will have pizza and salad and some coleslaw.
Rob and I will leave work a bit earlier to come home and give the dogs a walk he loves doing that, and then I will drop him home, I am ready for a day off tomorrow.
DD’s friend from school had a baby boy yesterday he is beautiful and they have called him Jude which I think is a lovely name.
Coxy enjoy having your nails done I find it very relaxing xxx
Camelot I hope the wedding goes really well xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning all. Dark, wet and dreary here this morning.
We had a great time yesterday pumpkin picking with DD and family, although DGS wasn't at all bothered about the pumpkins and spent all his time sitting on a couple of the very old display tractors and going for a tractor ride. Young farmer in the making maybe?! It's a family run farm and they add something new each year; this year there were lots of hay bales to climb and sand pits in old tractor tyres. I had my photo taken next to the witch's chair - say no more!
Today I'm off to have my hair cut and must also remember to make another appointment before Christmas, otherwise it will be all booked up. There's a large Tesco nearby so I'll pop in for some milk and veg. The slow cooker is going on later with some stewing steak from the freezer so that should be dinner sorted.
We are meant to be walking with friends tomorrow; starting a linear walk in the Northamptonshire area, but the weather at the moment isn't looking too promising. Fingers crossed it dries up.
Happy Thursday everyone.

Morning all from a very wet London .Up early and taken DS to work as it was heavy rain and he has a motorbike bins are out and DS tax return filed last one as he has closed the business thank goodness as i am not an accountant and dread it every year WM is whirring away so will be going on the heated airer later.DGS has been his lively self and i am ready for a rest for the next few days he is off to DD1's for the weekend as she has offered to have him when his mum and dad go skiing in January so he and she need to get used to each other more her as when she told me what he was going to have for dinners i suggested that they go for a more finger food approach and nothing too squashable
Right better go down to the freezer to see what delights we have for dinner . Have a good day one and all stay safe dry and warm xxSlava Ukraini10 -
Morning all, heavy rain again here.Camelot hope you all have a brilliant day. Your cousin is certainly a MSaver!Coxy, glad your DD enjoyed her 1st day, helps when there are other new starters too. Izzy make sure you do manage a sit downTA nice to get a bargain.RR enjoy your day off tomorrow.WL sounds a good day out, sadly our DGC consider themselves too old for things like that nowYesterday we managed to take a load of stuff to the big hospice store on the edge of town, hopefully will help some one. I still have a couple of coats to take to their smaller shop down the road. The big shop mainly takes furniture and small electricals.DB2 messaged yesterday to say SIL felt a bit better so perhaps we can still go ahead entertaining them at the weekend. We called at a discount store last night for DH to pick up some Greek beer
& Iceland for frozen prawns!
Right better do something useful, have a good day everyone x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10 -
Morning everyone
Another wet morning today - I did some washing last night so it's hanging on the airer.
Little one had a great time at her Halloween party yesterday - she was a skeleton with a tutu. She said one of the older boys had a scary mask on but 'he was so kind granny and took it off so I could see his face.' The older children really look out for the little ones, well with the exception of a couple of boys, but she quickly learnt to just keep out of their way.
They're going to a caravan park near Ayr tomorrow so DD has decided to leave early rather than little one going on the school trip. She was looking forward to it but it's forecast to rain and she doesn't want her outside in it all day. She'll take her one day in the spring when hopefully the weather will be better.
I'm expecting a man to install a smart meter this morning, between 8 and 10am. I have to leave for work by half 11 at the latest so hopefully he'll be here soon.
I enjoyed the movie yesterday - the cinema was quite busy for a Wednesday afternoon. Coxy - the one you're going to see would be too long for me, though I think it will be good.
Camelot - hope you and your family have a great weekend.
Have a good day everyone x12 -
A late post from me. Unusually I slept past 8.00a.m this morning and then loitered a bit once awake. I've been to my pool exercise class. The member of staff who leads it is leaving in three weeks time which is great for her and rubbish for the group. I've handed in a sample to the GP as I've got a niggling feeling in one kidney. There's not much rain though the sky is dark and it's chilly. I've done a quick wash as I wanted my towels refreshed. Now I'm loitering again. My elderly neighbour wolfed down two of the mini Victoria sponges yesterday. I took up five - two each for him and his wife and one for the full time carer. I, of course, ate one to quality check it.
I'll make them again but won't add icing sugar to the fresh cream before whipping it, the addition makes it far too sweet and the cream remains a touch too soft.
