Will TrainPal charge me if I change my ticket time?

Booked a return journey with TrainPal. I wish to alter the time of the outward journey which is slightly dearer and the site says I may incur an admin fee. Current total return journey is £5. If I were to change the outward time I’d pay £3.90 for the outward change minus the cost I already paid for the outward journey plus maybe admin fee. I’m wondering if it’d be worth changing the time with the cost of fee. So any one who’s changed their train time is it worth it with the admin cost incurred. Do you get notified of the total cost plus admin fee charge before agreeing to accept and pay for the time change.

To be absolutely clear what is the ticket type shown on the ticket. Does it say the word 'Advance' or something else?Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Trainpal are just booking agents so you will be subject to the terms and conditions of the rail company you are travelling with. Typically they impose an admin fee of £10 and some tickets are non refundable.
You should refer to the website of the train company with details of the type of ticket you have purchased.0
