Removing name from Halifax mortgage

Evening all.

Unfortunately, I am going through a separation and would like to remove the name of my ex-partner from my 5-year fixed rate mortgage.

Is this possible with Halifax, and if so, what sort of charges would be involved?

I am able to afford the mortgage on my own, however I am keen to keep the current rate (which is 1.39%) and not Re-mortgage at 6%!

Would Halifax allow me to keep my existing payment terms and rate?

Thank you in advance.

You just cannot remove name from mortgage there are processes.

    Will need a solicitor.

Also if you are getting a new mortgage, the rate would not be your current rate, will be a new rate.

The Lender will need to decide you can afford the mortgage on your own (based on their calculations). Just call Halifax to sort it.

You keep the rate, it won't be a new rate.
