Lovely! Lol. I will make sure my other half is well informed.Rosa_Damascena said:
They don't, but its common knowledge that warm water will do and anything "cosmetic" is to be avoided. If you believe the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Kourtney Kardashian you would be sticking bits of fruit up your nether regions (allegedly to make it a more pleasant experience, for whom I don't know!).DigSunPap said:
Wow I was not aware this was the case. Do they warn of this on the packaging???kboss2010 said:
It’s not because I don’t like the smell, scented toilet roll and sanitary products are really bad for women’s health, especially if you’re prone to UTIs or thrush. We shouldn’t really be using them.35har1old said:
Nicky may be scented but the smell is unnoticeable not like if you walk into a scented candle shop.Farway said:

I've been buying Waitrose's Essential Waitrose Ultra Soft Bathroom Tissue for years now. The largest pack of 24 sometimes costs me £10 if they give me £1 off with their MyWaitrose voucher. (Its price has gone up significantly since the pandemic). The important things I find are that they are excellent quality paper so I can use less and the rolls are longer (240 sheets) with sheets of larger dimensions (124x104mm) than many other brands. The paper is so good that I use it for cleaning up in the bathroom & downstairs loo instead of kitchen towel sometimes.3

Unfortunately these products are 100% a marketing concept and no one has ever actually consulted doctors about them. And because they’re not toxic, they just upset pH balance which can throw your “good bacteria” out of whack and allow “bad bacteria” & yeast infections to thrive, so they’re legal.DigSunPap said:

Ask any gynaecologist and they’ll rant for hours about scented products and “feminine washes” not only being unnecessary but actually bad for you. Even the NHS guidance around people prone to infections is “don’t use scented products in intimate areas”.They really need to be labelled/banned but it won’t happen unfortunately.“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. I wouldn’t trust anyone who markets a candle called “this smells like my vagina”.Rosa_Damascena said:

I recommend against Lidl toilet rolls. Caused me an itchy bum with whatever they put in it. Don't find the same with other toilet rolls.
I am having to evaluate toilet roll though- paid £2.25 for 4 the other day which is quite expensive. 55p a toilet roll.0 -
One of children's hall of residence is opposite a Morrison's who have just changed one of their toilet rolls to scented which has seen a lot of girls there suffering with thrush as a result.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
