Gift Aid on London Zoo membership

Hi,

I am currently in the process of doing my self assessment tax return. To reduce the tax I need to pay, I was wondering if I could get tax relief on a London Zoo membership?

There are two sides to such a donation. 

Higher rate tax relief for the donor is one where you ticked the gift aid ‘box’. 

The second - the recipient must be in a position to claim the basic rate tax deemed deducted from your payment. Can they so do?
