Finance
I took out finance with premium credit for a fitness course, however shortly after my daughter needed emergency therapy & I became pregnant again (not the plan). Needless to say I had to cancel the course as it was extra money that I could not afford to spend. I hadn’t done any of the course but also missed the 14 day cancellation period. Now I emailed them asking to cancel my course to which they agreed. Now they want me to pay for the course in full which even though they have agreed to the cancellation. I said if I have to pay for it I might as well complete it but they have told me as I have cancelled it I can no longer do the course either but still have the pay the full £2,799.00 to which I can not afford is there anything that can be done to not have to pay for what I don’t have as I really can not afford this.

What does the contract say about cancellation? If you signed a contract which says the course fee is non-refundable then there may not be a lot you can do, other than appeal to their better nature. If you're thinking about claiming from the finance company then this will be a non-starter, as the supplier has (presumably) not broken the terms of their contract.Did you pay the full course fee up-front, or is it a monthly payment? If the latter, you could in theory just stop paying them and let them chase you for it. I'm not for one minute saying this would be the best option, and it does open up the possibility of a whole load of hassle - but it depends very much on the terms of the contract you signed.0

Was the course to be done in person or online?
Was it a taught course or self learning?
Did you book a set start date or a flexible thing? If set, when was it due to start?
What is the cancellation policy in the contract you agreed to?0
