I am on a DMP. The defaults will fall off in 2028. I will still be on my DMP.
What's to then stop me stop paying the DMP? If it's fallen off my credit file and I stop paying, will they add it back on?

As long as a balance remains to be paid, a debt is still valid, whether or not it still appears on your credit file.
