Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's cold, with frost on the cars at the front of our house, it does face north though.
We had a quiet day at home yesterday, I visited an elderly friend who lives a short walk away, then just caught up with a few jobs in the house.
Today will be similar, and we'll go to the quiz tonight.
Thinking of anyone who is poorly, take care folks.11 -
Morning everyone we have a frost here as well scarlet we still have the log burner on but I never feel warm off to work soon chicken stew tonight otherwise not a lot happening here. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Another chilly start here but it's forecast to get milder when the wind and rain returns tomorrow. I think I prefer chilly!
DD came yesterday to clear more of her stuff from my garage AT LAST!! Some dining chairs going on freecycle, lots of outgrown kids stuff going on a selling site and if they don't go then they are going on Freecycle too. As long as I don't get them all back here! I have enough clutter of my own out there without their stuff as well.
I need to pop in town today at some point. I should have been meeting DF for lunch again but she has succumbed to yet another ailment. After all my scoffing last week it won't harm me to do without a calorie laden lunch I don't suppose.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and MIA. TOPSY I hope your DS's op went well this time and you are able to go on your break. You deserve one.. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning All
Misty this morning but there is sunshine due for this afternoon, I'll put the washing out in the hope it will dry. There's rain due for the next few days - again.
I had the little one here from Sunday afternoon to yesterday afternoon, she's no bother apart from going to sleep - it takes a while! She doesn't stop talking so I had a lovely peaceful evening after a busy morning swimming and going for lunch at a local cafe. She decided she wants to dress as Elsa from Frozen for Hallowe'en and saw some costumes in the charity shop and there it was - an Elsa dress! It was a little bit too long so I turned it up for her and she's over the moon, only cost 99p too.
I have a parcel at the sorting office so will walk down there in a while, it's only open now from 8 until 10 so I had better get my skates on.
Good luck in the quiz Scarlet.
Happy decluttering TA.
Hope your DS's op went well Topsy.
How's the TV Izzy?
Have a lovely birthday lunch Ruby, hope Rob enjoys himslf too.
Hope everyone's well and you have a good Tuesday. Take care. XX11 -
Morning all
Brrrr seems very cold here this morning blanket over my knees again this morning ! Only two coming today as one is off sick we plan to go for a bracing walk along the seafront with a game of crazy golf if it’s not too cold, I’m sure we will stop for a cuppa somewhere to warm us up a bit.
We went and met Rob and mum for lunch yesterday they arrived 40 mins late 🙄 by which time we were all starving and had already ordered and paid for our food, we didn’t have long with them as time was ticking on and we had to leave, I got up to use the loo and then we left, as we were walking along the other lady who is a carer for Robs best friend for showed me £20 that mum had given her to pay for her lunch, she didn’t offer to pay for mine at all 🙄😂 she has really taken against me since I asked for my mileage !
Dinner tonight will be a roast which is left over from Sunday so it will just need heating through, dd is on a late tonight so she will eat at work.
I need to have a quick hoover through this morning and hang the washing.
Topsy I hope your DS op was successful this time xx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Good morning everyone and thanks for the start @nmlc x
Another WFH day today and I'm wrapped up in my fairisle cardigan (CS purchase) and fluffy socks. The heating is on for a short while morning and evening, but sitting still at my desk I get chilly. DD went for an interview yesterday for an entry level admin job, only 5 minutes walk away. Should hear by Friday. DDad is out of hospital and expecting the results from his biopsy on Friday too. It's going to be a long week waiting to hear.
Hope your DS's op goes smoothly @topsyturphy - he's been through such a lot. Let's hope you can get a break too x
Great to declutter @TravellingAbuela especially when the clutter isn't yours!
Rob's Mum sounds like a piece of work @RedRuby1231 - makes me wonder how she is with him behind closed doors
I hope the new TV is up and running and peace reigns again @IzzyBee!
Dinner tonight is smoked salmon and pea pasta. I've ordered an A$da delivery as I'm at the WI tonight and don't have time to physically go to the SM. Speaker tonight is talking about the Spanish Civil War of which I know nothing, so it should be an enlightening evening.
Take care all and keep warm

Morning all; still chilly here but the sun's out.
I don't think this is a very warm house and was chatting with DH about it this morning. Might have to get the system checked out as downstairs doesn't seem to get properly warm to my mind.
Anyway, today I'm at a bit of a loose end. Yesterday DH sorted out some clothes in the spare wardrobe and I did two runs to a charity shop with them. Hopefully I can now go through some of my things and move stuff about. Other than that I have a free day.
Take care all9 -
Morning everyone
There was a hard frost here this morning so I put the heating on for an hour when I got up. I've cleaned the bathroom so I could put the towels in with the rest of the washing in the basket. Today is the last day we're forecast sunshine till next week so I'll get it out on the line this morning.
I didn't have the best sleep - I've pulled something in the top of my back and it's really painful - I had my Tens machine on which helped a little. It's my own fault as I lifted a little girl up at nursery last week - she's small but rather sturdy!
Redruby - she's well and truly huffed isn't she. I don't see how she thinks you should have to pay your petrol costs - it's hardly cheap.
Camelot - that was a bargain! Little one loves dressing up and has a few different costumes here - all picked up from charity shops, but not as cheaply as 99p. Ours are getting more expensive, except for one that is for a local charity. We have a Barnardos opening soon, I don't think I've been in one before.
At our school they're having a swap of Halloween outfits one morning next week, which is a good idea as they have a Halloween party the next week.
Right I'd better move myself - hope everyone has a good day today x

MorningI'm all out of the loop with what's happening here.
Ruby - what a rotten thing to do to you, just shows the calibre of the woman. I've got a blanket over my knee too as I'm waiting for a quick wash to finish.
Camelot - there was complete foggy white-out here first thing, now it's just a band of of hanging over the estuary and sea. Very chilly too.Nothing much planned for today apart from a whizz to the petrol station to refuel. I'm hoping to go to Glasgow tomorrow for lunch with my late DM's beloved crossword friend. He turned 78 last Friday.I hope that everyone is warm and safe.10 -
Morning! Not so brr as yesterday, the fire was lit in the monring and stayed on all day. Might light it later this evening if it gets colder though. I should test the heating today. I'm taking some stuff to the recycle place today and I have soft plastics, books, batteries and water filters to drop off at Tesco recycling point. Our council are starting food waste collections in November so that's good, I don't get people moaning about it, if it's recycled, then it's all good. Better than going to landfill. I need a new glue gun, I left my old one in Italy, one less thing to bring back but I have a project which will need one [ repair a sewing box] so I'll be scouting for one of those. There are a couple of small wooly blanket things that I need to repair too but they may be too old to take it so I'll check those after too. And having an impromtu lunch with a friend too, she texted this monring so why not I say...Izzy, hope the tv is all sorted. Scarlet, enjoy the quiz! TA, happy your garage is unfilling itself
Ruby, well, it kind of fits with what you've been telling us about her...enjoy the bracing walk and golf! camelot, result! Coxy, how about one of those clay pig water bottles to keep your feet warm? And fingers crossed for your daughter. WL, hope you get to the bottom of your heating woes. Take care all, hope the ailments leave quickly but still have a good day if you can...
