Text from BPO Collect

I just had an odd text message from BPO Collect saying they have an important and confidential letter for me and to click a link. I did a google search and found they were a legit company. However, when I did click the link it asked for DoB and Post Code, however apparently my details do not match their records. Has anyone had anything similar? I don't have any debts according to my credit file?

Scam. Just because it's mocked up with legit details doesn't mean the link is to a legit company. Never click on links. Always find the company's website to see what's on there.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. The general rule is to ignore texts. If it's important, they'll write1

Sending texts with links to encrypted letters is a typical DCA tactic, its cheap for starters, but as another poster has mentioned, it can also be a platform for scammers to obtain your details.
It could be a scam, or it could be a phishing attempt, usually if they have your address details, they will write to you.
It may or may not be attributable to yourself, but should they eventually write, respond with the "provit letter" in the sticky thread.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
