Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, rain is forecast for all day, air is much colder and a possible frost this morning.
Dinner last night was roast chicken, stuffing, mash, roasties, carrots, asparagus, broc, peas and gravy. Tonight I'm not sure what we'll be eating, maybe fish or gammon.
Work today for me, hoping it's not been left in a mess.
Keep safe and well x

Morning. It's still dark outside and I'm in bed listening to a podcast. Today I have the weekly banking to do. I have to wait in for the postie to collect a packet I'm posting. I'm not able to go to my lovely exercise class as the road to Oban is still blocked.I hope that everyone is OK.11

Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
We had a lovely weekend away in Majorca. Left the hotel at 7.30am yesterday in torrential rain with thunder and lightning, so definitely got lucky! Flight was slightly delayed but we were home around 4pm. I was meant to be in the office today but feeling slightly jaded, so will WFH. Making the most of the flexibility whilst I have it.
I'm still catching up with everyone's news, but in my world, my DDad had a tumour removed from his bladder last Tuesday, came out of hospital on Friday and was readmitted on Saturday. Poor guy can't catch a break. Hoping they can sort out his issues today.
Chicken pesto pasta for tea tonight and will crack on with the washing this morning.
Have a good day all and hugs to anyone in need of one.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It must be marginally milder out this morning as the windows are condensation free! Yesterday was bitter cold all day, even with the sun out.
No fixed plans for today. I ordered a new winter duvet which was delivered over the w/e but that's waiting until I change the bed. Not making work for myself!
I have just been browsing the M & S Christmas stuff on Oca*o. Eeek there's some very pricey goodies on there. I have resisted temptation for now!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or MIA. RUBY what a star your OH is spotting that enamel sign for you. I have seen them asking silly money for them on progs such as Bargain Hunt. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning all
It feels very cold here this morning I have had to put a blanket over my legs while I’m having a cup of tea, no heating on yet still trying to resist but we did light the log burner last night which was so cosy.
One lady coming today and we are going to meet Rob and his mum in town to have lunch for Robs birthday which was on Friday, she said she would treat us but knowing her we will all have to pay for ourselves ! We shall see.
Dinner tonight is chill which dd will make as she is off today, I’ve got the mince out and some diced carrots and celery which make a real difference to the taste.
House is fairly tidy just need to run the hoover round this morning. No washing to be done for a change.
Izzy hope sorting out the TV is not too hard xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning everyone going to have a coffee and a catch up with my friend this morning dog has been dropped off at the groomers I am going to pick her up before I go she’s a proper scruff in fact she looks like a demented werewolf she will feel better for it and she likes going she’s a very sociable little thing it will last a few weeks and then she will just get trimmed for the colder weather to keep her tidy and comfortable we have put a couple of logs on the burner to keep it going it was still lit this morning when we got up it’s been so cold so we will be keeping it on today and see what the rest of the week brings television is coming between 12 and 3 so hopefully I will miss the swearing and it will all be done when I get in from work. I am getting two new radiators in the kitchen today he came yesterday and took the old ones off I emulsioned and glossed the kitchen yesterday and he’s putting the new ones on today two big double ones we just had two single scruffy ones on before it’s a job that’s needed doing since we moved in two years ago but like everything it’s all time and money I definitely feel my age now after I do any decorating my knees are killing me this morning ? Coxy pleased you enjoyed your weekend away Gers what a shame about your excercise class do you know how long the road will be closed for Scarlet I don’t like these dark mornings. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all. Another frost overnight so the heating is staying on.
Plans changed yesterday as DS messaged to say he was calling in to pick up his dinner jacket, which lives in his old wardrobe, as it's seldom used. His sister then saw the message and said come over and see your new nephew so we grandparents invited ourselves over as wellWe got quite a bit of family admin sorted, including who was going where for Christmas (DS is a junior doctor and still hasn't found out his rota for anything beyond December but says he will be free as its a BH) I also got him to abandon 2 old suits and a couple of jackets that were sitting in the wardrobe so will be visiting the charity shop later today.
DH is off to the dentist this morning so will pick up some sausages from the butcher on the way back. Tonight I'll do cauliflower cheese and jacket potatoes as we've had quite a lot of meat heavy dishes recently.
Have a good day everyone.12 -
Good Morning All
Early start this morning as Ds2 is back at Addenbrookes for further op to replace the nail in his leg to grow the bone as last week’s op didn’t work. He’s due to go down around 10.
Yesterday I won a competition to stay in an accessible caravan in Newquay but it’s this weekend so not sure if we will be able to go so may ask them to re draw it to pass onto someone else. Will see what the surgeon says later today after the op.I also contacted social services about a caters assessment and found out we could have had help from the beginning but I just hadn’t been referred correctly for Ds2. This was possibly due to going to a hospital out of the area I live in.
Redruby enjoy your lunch, hopefully you won’t have to pay.
Coxy - hope your dad gets on okay.
TA - I haven’t even thought about Christmas.
sorry I’m sure I’ve missed others.Very cold out today. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.12 -
Morning all. Very chilly again here too, I'd better order some wood. Plans for today are collate stuff and fill the car boot, get some petrol because I'm down to fumes and get some veg. And lay the fire ready for tonight
I think I'm going to have to take a leaf out of an organised persons book and start making lists of jobs to cross off. The house looks like a jumble sale exploded in it, there's nowhere to put anything and I must still be hoarding despite my love of getting rid of things.I think a tip run is on the cards this week too, there's not much but it's hanging around and getting on my nerves. Normally I feel like chucking things out every spring and stalk the house with a black bag, but it seems ot be occurring in winter now too.
Gers, sorry you can't get to your excercise class, it's not the same in the house [ well, not without a pool anyway..] Coxy, glad you had a nice weekend and avoided the storm. Ruby, congratualtions on your enamel signtopsy, fingers crossed for your son, and hopefully some respite will kick in now..Izzy, hope your kitchen is a bit toastier now
Take care all and watch out for frosty fingers and toes today, stay in with blankets instead

Morning everyone
I haven't been on over the weekend as I've had little one as her mummy was away with friends. We've had a lovely weekend - lots of playing, walks with her bike and two visits to my mam and dads. She's really no bother but it is tiring having to give her medication at midnight. Especially if she then wakes me up early - on Saturday morning she says 'granny the clock says zero five zero five...that's a funny time isn't it?' Yesterday morning it was a more respectable 7 am.
Today I have work at lunch time, I'll hoover and steam clean the kitchen floor after this - I have some very nice pumpkin soup to take for my lunch - we made it yesterday after we'd carved the pumpkin....little one has taken it home to sit on their doorstep.
Well, I'd better get on - hope everyone has a good day x
