If you actually want to get out of the house then dancing is cheap and probably lots in your local area.
Linedancing (you will be surprised how many men are in classes) and you will both be able to learn at your own pace, which is good if one person has two left feet, classes range from £4 each upwards depending where you are. The benefit of this is you could start alone if he is not interested and hopefully he will then join you so he is not left sat in the house.
Rock & Roll - very active scene throughout the country, beginners classes are normally around 8 weeks and then restart so you can do again or move up to the next group. there is also a vibrant live music scene with social and live groups virtually every weekend in most areas. Lots of classes will be advertising as Jive but it is not like the (rubbish ballroom jive based on cha cha) you see on Strictly but will be 6 count rock & roll (it will also incorporate some linedances but they call them strolls) Classes tend to be a little dearer at around £6 and upwards.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy1 -
